Advent SAL

I finished up the piece I've been working on the past few days. I started him Monday. This is Pierre the Penguin. Here is the link to the patterns...Brooke's Books. Now I'm only 3 behind since 10 was just released.

Today is Turkey Day Eve so it was time to prepare the yummies. I was in charge of the deviled eggs and the veggie dip. Yum!!! We are just having our own celebration here tomorrow. I'm glad. No stress. No worrying about impressing others. Best part is I can attend the festivities in my pajama pants haha. Nothing better than eating yourself miserable in stretchy pants! We even got our own little turkey to have. Most the time we just have ham. We got both this year. Can't wait. Is it time to eat yet??

Plus tomorrow if I can stay awake and I'm not too miserable I'll get to start Seaside Stitches. It's weird but I'm nervous about it. I've been stitching for 17 years and this piece will have a lot of new things for me. I don't use silks very often. Most of these threads I've never heard of before. I've used Caron threads but that's it I think. I also mostly stitch on 28ct. I got 32ct for this one. Some of the design is over one so it will be the first time I've stitched over one on 32! I'm not sure I've stitched on 32ct at all really now that I think of it. I've also never stitched a Jeannette Douglas Design. She uses several specialty stitches and I hope I can figure them out from her instructions. So lots of exciting things happening here tomorrow. I wish everyone reading this a very happy Turkey Day and I hope you all have something to be thankful for. I know I sure do.

Pierre is so cute. Well done on your finish.
You certainly sound very excited but apprehensive about your new start. You've got lots of daunting "firsts" to look forward to but seem to want to rise to the challenge. Good luck! :)

Pierre the penguin is soo cute! It's nice to see you sticking to this sal. When it first came out everyone was going for it but I don't seem to many of them now.
Did you stitch the camel??? So hilarious that one :D
