DUCJC Day 9

Another PALs Christmas present today. Summer House Stitche Workes setup a booth at the retreat. I love her pieces. Mom picked out a few of the postcard series for me to do. Here is the first one in my pile...
Shouldn't be surprised Mom picked the beach one out right? I just LOVE how she finishes these on the burlap frames. Then you can attach whatever you want to it. I got several of the burlap frames and some trinkets to decorate them for Christmas too. I didn't get a lot of stitching time today so here is my progress...
I wish my fabric showed up better. It's a beautiful piece full of different colors. Looks like a sunrise to me. I just happened to have it in my stash. The thread is DMC 4025. I wish I would have had more time today. I look forward to finishing it off and playing with the trinkets to decorate it. Tomorrow is another PALs present.

Another lovely seaside start! I look forward to seeing how you decorate the frame. That looks almost as much fun as stitching!

I can see the colors on the fabric as well and I think it's the perfect fabric for a beach project. It looks so great already with the blue color on that fabric.

You've chosen some really different pieces to stitch this year ie pieces that can actually be made into things rather than just framed. The colour you've chosen is fantastic, especially on the fabric. Looking forward to seeing you make this one up. :)

Beautiful start! Nice choice of thread with that fabric, almost like the castle is silhouetted against the sunset.
