Monday Update

Tuesday I heard a scream from my Under the Sea SAL. It really wanted to by worked on. I figured it was time to finally start the May block. I worked on it for 2 days. Here is where I got on it...
Thursday and Friday we were busy.
For several years we have done the 127 Yard Sale. They say they are the world's longest yard sale. It goes from Michigan to Alabama. It started 30 years ago. You can follow the link to learn more about it. We have done the Michigan part but decided not to this year. We mostly just focus on Ohio (Van Wert to West Unity) and I can't imagine doing any more than that. We were TIRED. We keep track of how many we stopped at. We ended up doing 130 Thursday and 135 Friday! A lot of them setup together which makes it so nice. The Van Wert Fairgrounds Thursday had 50 different vendors setup. We had so much fun. I didn't find any stitching stuff this time. I only seen one small piece of Aida and a few little kits. That was disappointing but we each got some stuff that we couldn't live without. The weather was hot Thursday but cold Friday so that worked out.

Saturday I heard a new louder scream from my stitching tote. One I hadn't heard since March. So out came my Spring Bell Pull from Stoney Creek Magazine. Remember it?
Here is where I was on the I block the last time I worked on it actually...
Here is where I got after this weekend 2 days on it...
It's still screaming right now. So it will stay out for now. We have a busy week though. We are heading over to Lincoln Highway Buyway sales this Thursday and Friday. We plan to get home Saturday. Fred is taking me to a movie for date night Saturday then Sunday morning we are hitting the road for a vacation to Gatlinburg, TN. So laundry, packing, and preparing has to be done before Thursday morning gets here. Hope everyone has a great week.

Great to see these both again! I feel bad about my UTS SAL, it hasn't seen much daylight lately. But I'm working on dragons now and that's so much fun! Hope you find more stitchy stuff this weekend.

Katie, I still adore that Under the Sea SAL. The nautical whimsy and colors really call to me. It's nice when our projects start calling out to us, isn't it? Have fun on your trip to Gatlinburg. You always seem to be traveling. Have a great week! Andrea

My UTS is calling too for July finish and Aug start! :)
Don't worry, we will catch up eventually. Still is fun stitching on it, isn't it?
Glad you've worked on the banner too, it is such a lovely design.

The Under the Sea Project is coming along nicely, as is the Spring Banner, which is gorgeous! Bit by bit, you get them done! So many sales to attend! I have thought about going to one of those long ones, but they are too far away. Look forward to your report about Gatlinburg... been through there each time we went to Alabama. Hugs!

Under the sea is such a pretty design, I can understand why it was calling to you. It's nice when projects scream to you....shame we don't always have enough time to work on them though! :)

Holy cow! That's a lot of sales. Glad you found some things you couldn't live without, lol. Your stitching looks great -- Under the Sea is so adorable and Spring is pretty!

I can only imagine the scale of those sales! What a weekend, shame there wasn't much stitching stash to be found.
Great work on both the noisy pieces though.

Oh my, Katie, you are even busier than normal, lol. But as long as you enjoy what you are doing it's just perfect :) Great to see that you even find th time for stitching :) Wonderful progress on the Under the Sea SAL. And of course I remember the spring bell pull. It's such a lovely piece.

Lots of screaming at your house! I just shut the door to my craft room when I don't want to listen to mine! Good progress though, they got what they wanted.
