Bumpy Road

So I think we've probably all heard there are bumps in the road of life. Well lately my life seems to be nothing but bumps. Was just busy really busy but then the stuff hit the fan.

Memorial Day weekend we spent Saturday and Sunday planting our garden. Enough to feed an army at least haha. We love our tomatoes and our fresh veggies so we love them. On Friday I lost my Great Grandfather. Not too horrible considering he was 94 and we expected it. Not too horrible because I was unfortunately not real close to him but still a lose in the family. Monday we went down to my dad's family for support and for a cook out. Everyone was doing fine. Knew the viewing was Tuesday and funeral on Wednesday. Jeremiah had physical therapy on Tuesday afternoon and then him and I went to my dad's. Went to the viewing. Fred came down after work. Jeremiah and I stayed the night and Fred came home. Woke up attended the funeral and a lovely lunch and headed home. Very tired but at least I can manage it.

Underneath all this we have another HUGE problem. For a little background we've been estranged from my husband's family for over 5 years. His grandfather was admitted to the hospital Sunday morning. The family assumed we should come to visit. Fred and I started the what would we do conversation. Unfortunately yesterday Fred's grandfather passed away. Fred is so depressed. It hurts my heart to see him sad and he is just so upset. I love my husband dearly and want the pain to stop. As of now we agreed to attend the viewing. Which will be very extremely hard. Fred's brother is home from the military. So it will be nice to see him. It's been several years. But.....Well the rest will be hard. Bumps in the road. I will survive. So will my dear love. But wow sometimes those bumps feel HUGE.

Camping Weekend

I've wrote about our geocaching hobby before. It's basically a hide and seek game. We have a lot of gatherings with others. This past weekend was our Spring Picnic. It's always in the northern part of Indiana. The Fall Picnic is in the southern part. So France Park was in Logansport, Indiana area. We headed over Friday night and camped for the weekend. The top picture is a beautiful waterfall we found. The middle picture is a group photo of most of the people who came for the event. The bottom picture is Fred and I doing our pose LOL. We had a very nice time. The weather was okay. Not perfect but not horrible. It rained a tiny amount Saturday morning very early and then was windy most the day Saturday but ended beautiful.

Fun Weekend Away

Last weekend we had a mini vacation. It was my mom's birthday. We haven't been able to go away for awhile so we planned a quick getaway. We went up into Michigan to see a few lighthouses. We also heard about a Tulip festival they were having. We left Friday morning and stayed two nights. It was nice weather. A little chilly but it was still very nice. Here are some pictures.

This top picture is from South Haven Michigan. Mom has seen this one before but I hadn't so we stopped to find it real quick.

This one is in Holland Michigan. We had to walk a bit to see it. We also was able to go inside it which was neat. Mom hadn't seen this one before so I'm glad we found it.

These two pictures are from the Tulip festival. There were millions and millions of Tulips. We walked through this area for awhile. It was a craft and arts show. We all spent some money. I spent $15 on a penny. LOL I'll wait for that to sink in. LOL Seriously I did. Okay Okay I made you wonder why long enough. It was cut into a puzzle. Amazing. So I just had to buy it. He had a whole bunch of coins that he did amazing stuff too. I will have to try to get a picture of the stuff we bought. Of course in the bottom picture you can see Jeremiah found foam swords. I bought one too so we fought the rest of the way through the market. It was funny seeing the people laugh at us. It's lucky for Jeremiah I'm so immature haha.
