December Turtle Trot and a Finish

Today is the 10th so it's time for another Turtle Trot check in. I've really enjoyed this SAL. I really hope it's going to continue. We have kept track of 10 projects and posted updates on the 10th. Some projects crawl at a turtle pace but they do eventually get finished. According to my records I have finished 6 (now 7) of my TT picks this year! Love that!! I hope you have enjoyed crawling along with me.

I started this one during the Crazy January Challenge this year. I already finished another one out of the leaflet last year...

So another project to mark off my Turtle Trot list! Another CJC finish! That makes 9 of the 15 finished.

I got it finished!!! Loved every stitch. Today is also the 10th which means it's Turtle Trot Time! I had added Always Thankful to my Turtle Trot list so I get to take that off now. The only other pieces I worked on since Oct 10th was my HAED Hope at the stitching retreat and I started another Christmas Pals Ornaments by Dimensions yesterday. I only have 2 left to do till I can mark it off too. Hopefully now that it's Fall my Turtle Stitching time will grow. 

Turtle Trot, WIPocalypse, and HAP SAL

6. Mill Hill Kits (Do one a month) - I missed getting one done in June so hopefully I'll be able to finish 2 this month.

7. Seasonal Wordplays - I finished Spring!! Just need to do the other 3 seasons.

Actually yesterday I finally got to some new colors. I reached the rocks!!! But I don't want to take her out of the Q-Snaps yet so you'll have to wait to see that update. I literally said Wohoo out loud though haha.

For the WIPocalypse we get questions to answer too.
What type of things do you like to stitch Reality or Fantasy. Which do you prefer to stitch? Figures or Abstract?

If you have been here long you know I love Fantasy. I also love animals. I seem to stitch them more than anything. Thanks for hanging in there for my thrown together SAL post. Now off to stitch more for the next update.

June Turtle Trot

It's the 10th which means it's Turtle Trot time! I just realized I missed not one but two check ins! April we were traveling and May was just a blur. But I'm here now. Let's see what I've been up to since March on my Turtle Trot list...

1. 99 - Haven't worked on.

2. Advent Animals - Haven't worked on.

3. Christmas Pals Ornaments - In March I had started # 2 of the 6. Here is where it was...

5. Hold on to Hope HAED - I just recently brought her back out. The post before this one talks about her. She will definitely be back out to play soon.

6. Mill Hill Kits (Want to do 1 a month)
For the March Check in I had finished 2 of the 12. I missed April but finished 2 in May. I haven't done the June one yet. So now I have 5 of the 12 finished. They are on my 2015 Finishes tab at the top.

7. Seasonal Wordplay (All 4 Seasons) - Haven't worked on.

Since I have it marked off the list I had an opening. I haven decided to add Wave Dancer by Dinky Dyes. Here is what it will look like...

I really look forward to starting it and getting it finished up. Well I've been busy since March but I didn't do very good working on my Turtle Trot list I guess. I'll have to see what I can do before the next check in.

March Turtle Trot

Feb Turtle Trot

It's the 10th so that means it's Turtle Trot time. I just had to include this fun turtle picture in my update too. So sweet. Anyway we picked a list of 10 items (torture to narrow it down) and work on them. Then the 10th of each month we update our progress. The January update was a little blah cause I was in the middle of CJC (Crazy January Challenge) So let's see what progress I've made since the beginning of this year on my Turtle Trot list...

So that's my update. I've been enjoying stitching whatever screams loudest. So far this year I only had one day where I didn't make an X. This is a wonderful time of year cause I get LOTS of stitching time. We are starting to plan our year ahead and yet again we have something to look forward to every month until November already. I'm looking forward to another wonderful fun traveling year. Can't wait to make all the new memories. Thanks for joining my journey with me. Day 10 of CJC and Turtle Trot

Today's pick is called Inner Tube from Mill Hill. I've never done a Mill Hill with fabric and not paper. I like it so far. I did change the fabric out. It was this pink linen and I had a gorgeous sky hand dyed fabric. It might be a linen but it's a lot more even at least. Anyway here is where I got today...

I had a busy day today with actually *gasp* going outside the house. It was my 2nd time since Christmas Eve. This time of year I just go into hibernation mode. It's been so cold. Izzy (our dog) needed to go to the vet to get her yearly shots. We also got her some medicine to start for her leg. She's getting arthritis because of the knee surgery she got last year. We had a few other stops to get groceries needed so we don't have to go back out. Jeremiah hasn't been out at all since Christmas Eve and with these temps we will keep it that way for as long as we can.

Today is also the first check in for Turtle Trot. The main idea is to pick 10 projects and post an update on the 10th of each month where you are with you progress. Since I've been doing the Crazy January Challenge right now I've just been focusing on my 15 new starts. I will have a lot better check in next month hopefully. New Tab for CJC and Turtle Trot List

I decided to join in the Crazy January Challenge (CJC) in honor of Debbie. I was all set to do a start every day for the whole month but I got really overwhelmed planning them all. Plus I know I'm the kind of person that will want to work on it more than one day. So I decided for my sanity to start something every day for the first 15 like some people I've seen. I setup a new tab with the pictures of all the projects I want to start. Several of them are from Christmas but several of them are from my stash pile too. There are many other projects yelling but I told them to wait and I'm sure they will get started sometime. I hope to get these finished or at least make a lot of progress on them all.

That looks good for now. Feels good to get it wrote down finally. I've been doing a little bit of stitching on Selkie between playing with everything else we got for Christmas. It's still my beautiful blue blob. I wanted to show you another Christmas present I got...

 It's my first counted latch hook. I really like it a lot better than the printed ones. It's HUGE too compared to the ones I've done. It's 27x20 when finished.

Last Turtle Trot
