Dec Gifted Gorgeousness

Another fun Jo excuse to blog...On the 15th of each month (or soon as you remember to post) we are to share a post about all things with the label gift. Either something we have received or something we are giving. I normally have a hard time participating because so much of my stash was gifts from my mom or to my mom. But with life change I was thinking hey I might be able to join in again. Then I received 3 gifts to share with you all. So perfect...

I won a blog giveaway from Stitching Dreams a wonderful blog that I love reading. She had a drawing for this adorable chart. I have way more than I need to stitch but I entered because since we live here at the campground I help take care of the many many outdoor barn cats. Some are kittens who were born here but several were dropped off because the red barn. People assume they will be okay having a barn to live in. It happens way too often. So we take care of them. Anyway here is the adorable set of cat monthly designs...

They look like fast stitches but I think they will wait till 2025 because I was planning on not doing a set in 2024.

An online friend sent me something she said she hoped would make me smile...

It sure did. I love zombies and actually there are some patterns I just might stitch up. They are just cute little zombie themed pieces.

Lastly I received a Winter exchange item and I love it...

I love biscornus and polar bears and winter. So it's perfect. It was fun to exchange again.

Thanks for letting me share my gifts with you. See ya next time.

Monday Update / February Gifted Gorgeousness

Well it's Monday and it's the 15th. So I'll do my Monday update mixed in with the Gifted Gorgeousness Update. The lovely Jo has setup this wonderful blog SAL for us to share anything with the theme of gift. A gift for someone or from someone. Head over to the link up to see what others have shared this month. This last week all I've worked on is a gift for my hubby. 99 Bottles from Ink Circles. I'm working on it for the LovetoStitch2021 challenge so got at least 30 minutes every day. Sunday I got a little over an hour in on it. I'm on the 82nd bottle now! Here is yesterday's photo...

Slowly but surely. This is all I've worked on in February that counted for the gift theme. In January after the 15th. I finished up Winter Time which was a gift from Janet from Janet's Jabber...

Then I've also made some progress on Bloody Mary Dragon which was a gift from my husband for Christmas this past year. Oh I can't wait to get back to this one too...

So close to finishing up that first page.

Other than my stitching I have an interesting thing to share for my Monday update. Thursday I was exercising and kicked my husband's couch...

I think I broke my pinky toe on my left foot. Jeremiah was sitting near me and we heard the loud crack when it hit the leg of the couch. Poor little toe turned beautiful shades of purple and black. It got so swollen. It's doing better today. Still hurts but not as sore. I joked with everyone about when I was just sitting around day I didn't do this kind of things. Getting healthy is trying to kill me haha. What a dork. My depth perception has always been horrible. Main reason I don't drive. If I can't keep myself from hitting things with my own body can you imagine me in a vehicle?

We had a very nice weekend at the cabin just relaxing and watching movies. Now we are getting snow and snow. It's sure beautiful. I'm very thankful I don't have to go out. I'll just stay in and try to stay away from couches and other hard things haha.

Have a great week. Love yourself. Love each other. Stay safe. Smile.

January Gifted Gorgeousness

The lovely Jo is hosting Gifted Gorgeousness again this year. Stop over to this link to find out more information. Basically we share on our blogs on the 15th (or soon there after) anything we believe is a "gift". It's a fun way to share our happiness and/or kindness of others or maybe even ourselves. I'm spoiled rotten by my family so almost everything I stitch has been a gift from someone. So this is easy peasy for me.

I'm posting before Jo has the link up. So I will edit my post on Monday with the correct link up for this month. **Edited** Here is the link for January's Check in post. ** I really want to get to my IHSW (International Hermit Stitch Weekend) stitching. So I wanted to get my post done. So let's see what I can post about...

For Christmas my hubby got me 3 beautiful dragons patterns from Paine Free Crafts. I have started one right now...

I have a little over 1k stitches in already. Just couldn't wait to start it. To pay back I'm working on a gift for my hubby. 99 Bottles of Beer by Ink Circles. I am really hoping to finish it by his birthday in March but we'll see haha. Here is my 73 finished bottles right now...

So I will see you on the 15th of each month to share my gifts from others or to others. Have a great weekend.

May Gifted Gorgeousness

On the 15th of each month (or soon as you can get time) the lovely Jo has given bloggers a fun excuse to blog. Gifted Gorgeousness is all about sharing some good. Things we are stitching as gifts or things that have been given to us. What a fantastic thing to share. Stop over to Jo's check in to see what others have posted.

We all know I do a lot of stitching that is stolen given to my mom. I don't normally include that. But you can sure see a lot of the Mill Hill's that I've been working on that have a nautical theme. They will sure be stolen given displayed on my mom's side of our house.

I also have two things to share with you guys that I received...
I won a giveaway hosted on Cathy's blog. I just love these cute Christmas gnomes and I look forward to stitching them up. She also included a magazine about birds that I really enjoyed looking through. Plus a beautiful card. Thanks Cathy!

Fred got me a beautiful bag from a friend of mine for my birthday on the 13th...
She has an Etsy store here. Please go check out her beautiful bags. She also does some gorgeous fabrics. Love the license plates and then they are cute lovey plates as well.

That's all I wanted to share with you right now. Like I've said I'm worked on a lot of stitching that was gifted to me. I'm an extremely lucky gal.

April Gifted Gorgeousness

Yesterday was the 15th. So that means it was time for a Gifted Gorgeousness update. I took the day to stitch and do laundry so I stayed offline. Anyway here I am today. The idea of this fun blog SAL is to share things we are stitching as a gift for someone or have received as a gift.

Stop over to Jo's check in post here to see what others have shared this time around.

Let's look back since the last post to see what I can share with you...

I am stitching on Ink Circles 99 Bottles of Beer piece for my husband. I want to finish it this year so I'm stitching 4 bottles a month so I can finish it off before Christmas I hope. In this span I have added 4 bottles for the March requirement...

My little rabbit piece you've seen several times now is also for an exchange so I think that would be considered a gift. Just not yet. We are waiting to finish the exchange when no one has to worry about the mail having problems. I know I have orders from Amazon that are sure taking their sweet time getting here.

That's all I have to share. Not a very gifty time right now.

Today was the first release for the Colorful Critters SAL from Stitchonomy. Look at this adorable moth...
He's a Garden Tiger Moth. He will be first on the new SAL. I think I will finish the April fairy though first. The new animals come out every 2 days. I can't wait to see what animals she has picked for us.

Here in Northern Indiana we went from 70's one day last week to a snow storm coming tomorrow. We are forecast 3 to 5 inches. Just crazy. I think we are just staying home this weekend. So hopefully that means lots of stitching time. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

February Gifted Gorgeousness

The 15th of each month we have a wonderful reason to blog. Gifted Gorgeousness. The idea of this blog event is to post things we are stitching as a gift for someone or something we have received as a gift. The stitching community is amazing so it's always fun to read these posts.

Stop over to Jo's check in post to see what people have shared for this month.

Let's see what I've worked on since last month that qualifies.

Beer Dragon is for my husband. He loves beer. I was able to put 800 stitches in last month to make progress on this one for him. Here he is now...
He's slow but I just love working on him. Sure will look great on the wall some day many many years from now haha.

I'm doing a Boba Fett pattern for Jeremiah (my son). It's his favorite Star Wars character. Here is my progress right now...
I'm really hoping to make more progress before February slips away from me. We'll see.

Winter Time was a present from Janet from Janet's Jabber floss tube channel. We've been real life friends since our kiddos were tiny. Here is where I am on this one now...
99 Bottles from Ink Circles is another pattern for my husband. I have a goal of finishing it this year. So I made a goal of 4 bottles a month to make that happen. I was able to get this month's 4 bottles added...
Another piece that seems to go slow.

Of course it feels like all pieces are going slow right now. Especially the Homely Houseplants SAL. But I'm caught up so tomorrow I will be working on Beer Dragon all day. I can't wait. Well I will get my half hour in to the Heart Freebie first. I will be back Monday for a weekly update post.

January Gifted Gorgeousness

The lovely Jo is yet again hosting the wonderful Gifted Gorgeousness. On the 15th of each month we are supposed to make a post about anything we have received as a gift or are stitching as a gift for someone else. This is a way to share how wonderful the stitching community is.

Go to Jo's January check in post and also sign up on the main page for the SAL. Jo explains more on her post.

I'm so thankful to have a family that supports my addiction hobby. I received many new wonderful patterns for Christmas this year.

So let's look back to after Christmas and what I've worked on that qualifies for this event.

I finished this beautiful Hinzeit piece with a backing fabric that Rachel was so kind enough to send me for my 40th birthday last May...
It sure turned out beautiful. Thanks Rachel!

I've been working on 99 Bottles from Ink Circles. It's a present for my husband. It will be finished this year. In order for that to happen I plan to add 4 bottles a month which is totally achievable...
This month's 4 bottles finished up the 5th shelf.

Janet from Janet Jabber Flosstube channel is a close personal friend of mine. She was working on this seasonal set and I fell in love. They are from New York Dreamer. Right now I'm working on Winter. From the sound of all the comments it totally makes sense I fell in love with them...
That's it right now. Please come back next month on the 15th to see what I will be posting about then.

Gifted Gorgeousness

Today is the 15th of the month which means it's time for a Gifted Gorgeousness check in. The lovely Jo has hosted this awesome blog check in so we can share things we have received as gifts or are stitching for someone else as a gift. It's always wonderful to see some positive things going on in the stitching community. Stop over to Jo's check in post to see what everyone has shared this time.

I have two gifts I'm so excited to share with you guys.

First I received a set of 4 lovely season charts designed by New York Dreamer...
Plus look at the card. It looks almost delicious enough to eat. Here is a closer picture of the seasonal charts...
Janet from Janet's Jabber Flosstube video is a dear friend in real life. We've known one another for almost all of kid's lives. She just finished this set this year and I asked if I could borrow them. I told her I would pass them forward when I finish them. I am adding these to my 2020 plans. So after I finish them I will host a giveaway to pass them to someone else. I really can't wait to start them. I will start with winter in January.

Then I received a surprise in the mail...
If you remember I finished two Seka's hearts that I had in my Box of Shame earlier this year that I had stitched in 2005 and 2006. Elaine was stitching the Thanksgiving Heart and I just LOVED her WIP photos on Facebook. So I told her sometime we could trade patterns since I had the 2 I had stitched. We asked one another did we want to trade now and she said she had too much to work on. I said Oh me too. Plus I would have to buy the floss. Then the next thing I know I get an envelop in the mail with not only the pattern but the floss with a note that says Here now you don't have to buy them. They are not normal DMC floss that I keep in stock and when you buy them it's more than enough to do the pattern a few times over. So she sent the pattern and floss to me with the idea to pass it forward as well when I'm finished up. There will more than likely be more than enough thread. So this one also is going on my 2020 plans. Here is a look at Elaine's gorgeous finish of the Thanksgiving Heart that she posted on Facebook...
Another I can't wait to do.

A gift I'm planning to stitch for someone else in my 2020 plans is this one...
Jeremiah LOVES Boba Fett from Star Wars. I bought this one awhile ago. I told him it's time to add it to my WIP list. Yes it's also one I'm really looking forward to starting. Remember I'm in a STITCH ALL THE THINGS mood haha. Okay that's all for this check in. See ya tomorrow for a Monday update.

September Gifted Gorgeousness / Giveaway

On the 15th (or soon there after haha) we are to participate in a wonderful blog game/SAL. The purpose of this is to share the love our stitching community has.

We are to share things we are stitching that is a gift for someone or something we have received as a gift. As most of my readers know my family supports my addiction hobby and I'm lucky to receive a lot of my stitching as gifts from them. Plus my mom steals is gifted anything that is nautical that I might possibly stitch. So I sure never have a hard time participating.

Stop over to Jo's blog to see who else has joined in this check in post.

Let's take a quick look back at my stitching since August 15th.

You've all seen the Nautical Year I'm stitching for mom. I finished up the September piece for her the beginning of the month. Other than that that's the only real gift stitching I've done right now.

So I can't make a post that lame can I?

No I can't! I'll just have to help someone have a reason to post another time in the future. I'll just have to host a giveaway or why not two?!

Please comment if you are interested and make sure it's clear which one you want or if you want to be entered in both. I will have Jeremiah pick a name on my next Monday Update post on Sept 23rd. Please make sure I have a way to contact you if you win. I will open this giveaway up to those overseas too.  Good luck to all those interested!

First Pattern is Lucy Beam Thankful Pumpkins...
I stitched up this beauty in November 2018. This is not my finish just yet though I really hope mine turns out like this. This is the model photo. It was a fun stitch.

Second Pattern is Celtic Pumpkin from "The Sunflower Seed"...
I have not stitched this one. It's not quite my taste. This is the model photo. I can't find a link to where you can purchase this currently so it might be harder to find now. I sure hope someone enjoys it.

Both patterns are very clean and in fantastic condition.

I hope they can both find a happy new home. Good luck!
