Sick Kid
The weekend was lovely. Perfect weather for camping. We stayed at Pokagon. It's a state park in northern Indiana. It was for geocaching one of our favorite hobbies. There were 41 teams that checked in. Don't know how many that makes but in our 1 team it counts for 7 people this time around. So probably about 200+ people. Fred and I went up Friday night and set up the camp site. We were right beside some friends so that made for a very fun night. We sat around the camp fire drinking some adult beverages. Saturday we checked into the event and then went off caching with a group of friends. It was a nice time. Had a lot of laughs. Jeremiah and mom got there about 4pm. Then the rush of people cause they all love him. We are just his parents haha. Had a lovely meal and then broke up for the night. Mom and j stayed in the hotel. We went back to the camp site. Sunday they have a DELCIOUS breakfast brunch at the hotel. We ate with a bunch of friends. Then they also have an annual fly in. These sea-planes all fly in from all around. It's so much fun to watch. Jeremiah got to see several up close too. Didn't want to take a ride but looked at them all none the less. Overall it was a beautiful weekend.
Monday start doing school and j is doing horrible. Mom and me get very frustrated. Find out poor j just doesn't feel good. I swear his face was as white as a ghost about noon Monday. So resting. Tuesday same. Wednesday same even though we did try. We started school with vocab which j LOVES. Talked about a word asked Jeremiah what it means got an empty stare back. Yep more rest. Today he had therapy this morning and he is still just so white it's ridiculous. We get to camp this weekend so keep telling him he has one more day to get better. Another time I'm glad he's homeschooled. We can just catch up next week.

Finish and Other Stuff
Wohoo I have a finish. Now that's something I didn't think I would have for awhile haha. I received this PIF (Pass It Forward) in one of my fav yahoo groups CSF. I love this idea cause I probably would have never bought this cute little chart. I did this in honor of our new home. Now I changed a whole bunch of things. The colors match what I think our house looks like. I left off the chimney cause we don't have one. So it's definately my own piece now.Poor Jeremiah woke up at 5am this morning. He had a cramp in his side. Then he spent the whole day vomiting. Fun Fun Right? When your as little as he is it really takes a lot out of him that's for sure. He took a long nap this afternoon and is feeling a bit better right now. I called the nurse and she said it's really going around. So just to hang in there. At least I know it's "normal" right now.
Last night we got tickets to see Blue Man Group. I'm so excited. Fred and I got to see them in Las Vegas on our Honeymoon. We both knew j would LOVE it if he could ever go. They are coming to Fort Wayne on Oct 25th. Expensive tickets but well worth it. So we have tickets for get this 4 rows back!! Totally cool!

School Update
Jeremiah missed 4!!! That's it! Yep that means he got 16 Right! I'm so proud of him. When I gave the 4 he missed again he only missed 2 of those. We yelled and wohooed and made a big deal about finishing his first week in school. He was so proud of himself.
Today we started week 2. I'm one proud teacher/mom.

Meeting Jack
So today we got to meet Jack Hanna. It wasn't everything I hoped for but it was neat to meet him. I thought he would share his animals or talk. He just kinda stood for pictures. Jeremiah did get to say Hello though and got a signed picture. It was an honor none the less.
*Update* Mercy asked a great guestion. I should have told more about why we got to meet Jack. Jeremiah attends physical therapy. His therapist is a member at our local zoo. She has done this for several years I guess. Jack Hanna was coming into town so a select few got invited to this Meet & Greet. The PT has a daughter at that age where it isn't cool to do this sort of thing haha. Anyway so she offered it to us. I very happily accepted. I love animals and have tried to pass that love to Jeremiah. So we got to go meeet Jack Hanna.

New Starts
Today was a few new starts for us. Jeremiah and I started 4th grade. He really did great. Sat right down after breakfast and worked away. I was impressed by his reading. It has really developed a lot. He did fantastic until Math. Poor kid just hates it. We ran to a teacher store to buy some counting blocks to see if they help. So maybe we can figure it out together. Everything else was amazing though.
Fred started his new job. He says he loves it. So that helps a lot. He works 8 and a half hours so that's a little hard to adjust to. He used to work till 4pm now it's 5pm. But we will figure it out. Today he got off at almost 6 but it was the first day. This weekend we went to New Castle Indiana and attending another geocaching event. The forcast said rain all day so we were hoping it was wrong. We setup Jeremiah's play area. One time I looked over to see 8 kids playing with him. He was having a blast. I'm so glad we have this hobby. Fred went out with some friends to find some caches. We ended up with 20 finds on Saturday. That's our best record yet. The rain started just as we were ready to come home anyway. It was a very nice day indeed.
This is a WIP update of a PIF I received. PIF means Pass It Forward. In CSF they do this a lot. I jumped on this one cause the new house. First time in my life I've ever felt like I have a home. So I couldn't wait to have this one. Shouldn't take me too much longer to finish it.

September Already?
Grandparents - My grandfather made it through his surgery to remove his kidney okay. He has been in pain though and not yet out of ICU. So we are still worried about him. My grandmother found out she has a tumor on her leg and has to go get surgery to remove it on Sept 24th. We joke with them about being married 65 years and that they can't do anything without each other.
House/Apartment - We have been working so hard on the apartment. Today I got everything in our bedroom boxed up at least. Just need to carry it all down. I hurt my hand the other day and it hurts to carry heavy things right now. Plus poor Fred has a head cold. But anyway we are at least making progress. We swam the past three days including today at our new place. Jeremiah just loves the pool of course. We are getting settled in bit by bit.
School - Jeremiah and me sat down and looked at the calender. We hope to start school on the 10th. That gives us all week next week to get the apartment finished. Then get the school room ready and sit down on the 10th and see what we can do. Poor mom is so busy with my grandparents she won't be able to help the first few weeks probably.
Stitching - Finally I started stitching again. I had received a new model from Rosewood Manor while moving. It's beautiful of course. Has a lot of backstitch words so most the time that goes fairly quick. So I've been able to put some stitches in it at least. I also received a PIF that I need to get stitched. Hopefully be able to kit it up tomorrow.
