Autumn Camping

We ended up having an interesting end to last week. Jeremiah got sick again Wednesday night so Thursday I scheduled a doctor appointment. Thursday was spent doing blood work, urine test, and an x-ray. The doc suspected a kidney stone. Come to find out they really run in our family and my dad had one at Jeremiah's age. Urine test showed signs but x-ray was clear so off to an ultra sound on Friday. Catch was Fred took day off work Friday so we could leave early on our Autumn Camping trip. Got the results at 3pm and had the all clear to go camping. The doc said either Jeremiah has already passed the stone or he had an inflammation that caused the sickness. Have to watch him and see if he gets sick again. 4 times being sick in one month is enough though please.

We headed out to our family's camping weekend. We got 9 sites this year and I swear for dinner on Saturday we had 50 people show up. It was crazy. We had a blast. This is when Jeremiah does his trick or treating. They shut down the campground roads and everyone gives out candy. He filled up his bucket. He wanted to be scary this year so we went for Swamp Monster. Got him a really cool antique minnow bucket for his candy. We got so many compliments on the outfit and bucket. I felt so out of touch though cause my phone wasn't working haha. No internet. It was horrible haha. Plus no stitching. But we all had an absolutely fantastic time.

Here are a few pics. Jeremiah in his outfit. Plus his little play trailer. This is a snowmobile trailer. My dad empties it out and even decorated it this year. We throw Jeremiah's tv and playstation plus a bunch of toys in there. The kids just run to play with him. It's great. Jeremiah just has so much fun. One time there was 7 little kids in there with him just laughing and enjoying life.

Little Halloween Finish

I finally have a finish to show. I finished up this little Mill Hill Kit. The kit is called Boo House. It comes with this little box. You glue the finished piece to the top of the lid. It took me two days to do the stitching. There are a lot of little beads that I just love and the little pumpkin bead to attach. It was a lot of fun to stitch. I have another like this I think I will start tonite. I love Halloween.

An Update

I'm here. Just been busy. We went on a lovely mini vacation to a beautiful state park in southern Indiana. It's called McCormick's Creek for the locals. It was for a geocaching Fall Picnic. The above picture is how Jeremiah spent the majority of the time. I told them I think he's allergic to fall so next year they have to call it Autumn Picnic. haha We did have a nice weekend overall. Poor Jeremiah was just sick most of Saturday. He still enjoyed himself he said.

I did a little bit of stitching here and there. I put quite a few stitches into a biscornu but didn't finish. I put some more into the Crescent Moon Dragon. Nothing worth a picture. I put some into a Mill Hill Halloween kit. Again nothing worth a picture. Just here and there. We've been busy doing a million things as always. Just remembered I hadn't updated in a long time. Life is good just busy busy.

9-9-9 Update

First Happy 9-9-9. I'm not one that believes in numerology I guess but it is special I guess. I have an update anyway haha. I finished the first page of Crescent Moon Dragon. The empty spots are for beads. I will add them after since they would be crushed in my Q-Snaps so bad. Hubby voted I do the head next so I'll start on that today.

Jeremiah got his first week off already haha. We had so much planned for this week we just couldn't do school. Monday we went to my dad's for a cook out. Yesterday he had physical therapy. Today we were supposed to go to Shipshewana to visit mom but he got sick. Tomorrow supposed to visit Great Grandma. Friday we are leaving for a mini vacation. This morning like I said though Jeremiah isn't feeling good. I hope it passes soon whatever it is. Poor guy always gets sick this time of year. The change of seasons is hard on him.

9-2 Update

Here is a progress picture of my Crescent Moon Dragon. I just love stitching on this piece. I have to thank Chris again for this beautiful pattern. The holes in the wing gets these beautiful greenish beads. I added one in the top of the wing just so I could see what it looks like. With the Q-Snaps though I think I will add them last. I also added a bit of the moon which is all # 4 braid Kreinik. Actually I'm not having a hard time with it this time. I think because I know it's going to be beautiful it helps haha. The sparkle in real life is just gorgeous. I'm trying to use shorter lengths too and it really seems to be helping. I feel like I stitch and stitch and get no where but looking at my last WIP picture to this one I can tell I got a lot done.

Life has been busy as always. Started Jeremiah's home schooling back up. We are in the 2nd book week. We did a week of review at the beginning so it's actually week 3. This years books are laid out very nice. We are having a lot of fun. I'm trying not to push so hard. Jeremiah is trying. So together we are making a pretty good team. I still can't believe he's in 6th Grade!! We have so many fun activities coming up through October. Every weekend in October I'm doing something. Crazy. I just have to try to breath when I get the chance haha.
