Friendly People

I'm a firm believer of a few things. Treat others how you want to be treated. What goes around comes around. Put out what you want back. All means about the same thing to me. I always try to be positive and treat people nicely because I would want people to do the same back to me. I'm so happy to say it sure has came back to me several times. I've also realized that most cross stitchers are very nice people and we all love to share our love of stitching with others. Here's what happened this time...

First a friend gifted me with the pattern for the Cut Thru Pirate Ship. I had been loving the pattern for a long time but just couldn't seem to find it. A friend said she had it and was willing to send it to me. Thank you so much Sue!!! Then when I started it happened. I became addicted to the bright colors and fun of these designs. So I decided to start the hunt for these 2 others I liked in the series (The Lighthouse and The Castle). Another friend who I follow her blog (Thanks Debbie!!!) told me to ask another stitcher who she knew had finished The Lighthouse. So I sent an email asking if she was willing to sell me the pattern. Next thing I knew she was sending me not one but TWO Bothy Thread designs!!! The Lighthouse and the Camper Van. I loved the camper van but since I was already having a hard time I didn't think I would ever find it either. She sent them over the pond to me for free!!! Thank you so very much Karen!!!!! She said the same thing I said... I have always believed kindness is rewarded and in today's world with so much hatred us good people have to stand tall and it is a real pleasure to do this tiny thing for you, look forward to seeing your work

This wasn't a tiny thing for me. I really sincerely appreciate it and I look forward to working on the two pieces with the knowledge of how special it was to receive the charts. I will continue to do good things cause they do definitely come back. Here are the pictures of what the pieces will look like when finished. Now just need to finish the Pirate Ship...

I feel the same way and if a stitcher is looking for a pattern and I know I will never get to it then I would gladly send it on to someone who will use it.

It's a harsh, cruel world out there. A lot of times you can't depend on anyone, even friends. Stitchers on the other hand are a special kind of loyal friend that show no selfless bounds. Enjoy your new charts for they will bring much happiness to those around you.
