Day 10 of CJC and Turtle Trot

Today's pick is called Inner Tube from Mill Hill. I've never done a Mill Hill with fabric and not paper. I like it so far. I did change the fabric out. It was this pink linen and I had a gorgeous sky hand dyed fabric. It might be a linen but it's a lot more even at least. Anyway here is where I got today...
I had a busy day today with actually *gasp* going outside the house. It was my 2nd time since Christmas Eve. This time of year I just go into hibernation mode. It's been so cold. Izzy (our dog) needed to go to the vet to get her yearly shots. We also got her some medicine to start for her leg. She's getting arthritis because of the knee surgery she got last year. We had a few other stops to get groceries needed so we don't have to go back out. Jeremiah hasn't been out at all since Christmas Eve and with these temps we will keep it that way for as long as we can.

Today is also the first check in for Turtle Trot. The main idea is to pick 10 projects and post an update on the 10th of each month where you are with you progress. Since I've been doing the Crazy January Challenge right now I've just been focusing on my 15 new starts. I will have a lot better check in next month hopefully. Here is my list of projects right now (I keep wanting to change things haha)...
  1. 99 by Ink Circles
  2. Advent Animals by Brooke's Books (25 pieces)
  3. Christmas Snowfriends Banner by Stoney Creek
  4. Cut Thru Bothy Pirate Ship
  5. Dog Wisdom by Bucilla
  6. Hold on to Hope by HAED
  7. Mill Hill Kits (Do One a Month)
  8. Seasonal Wordplay by Ursula Michael (All 4 Seasons)
  9. Selkie by HAED
  10. Snow Drifters Leaflet (Life Without Snow) by Stoney Creek
Hope to make progress and maybe have some finishes by the end of 2015.

I love the fabric change too! I remember when you chose this one and I was intrigued by it, it's so different. I recognise some of your TT choices and look forward to cheering you on with them!

This looks like a fun piece to stitch and you have made good progress so far. You have a huge variety of TT pieces. Now I'll just be interested to see how many you finish!! :)

That's going to be a cute one... Your TT list is much more lengthy than mine... I did not want to bit off more than I can chew, so to speak! But--did it say we had to 'finish' these projects? Can't recall... Stay warm... get ready for school! Hugs!

G'luck on your TT pieces! I am not sure I understand where the pink fabric came in but I do like your substitute!

I happily hermit in winter as well. Zero desire to go out and get cold and there's always enough food in the house. :D

Inner Tube is a really fun piece! I'm a little bit west of you, so don't worry--warmer weather is a-comin.'

Great start, and I would have changed the fabric out as well. Nice line-up for your TT pieces and good luck with them!
