The last one in the bucket to be picked was Summer Wordplay from the Seasonal Wordplay booklet. I thought this one would be a lot of fun to do because we love beach fun. Here is where I got...
As you can tell I didn't get much stitching time yesterday haha. I will look forward to getting back to this one though. I'm thinking of making these into decorative pillows when I finish them. What do you think?
Now it's the weekend and it's the 3rd weekend of the month which means it's IHSW. (International Hermit Stitch Weekend) I told Selkie she can come back out to play. She was so excited. Well the sky was since that's all I'll get to work on haha. I'll update either Sunday or Monday on my progress. If you join in I hope you get a lot of stitching done. If you don't join in......well why wouldn't you join in?!?
We've been having some major household problems. Found out today we are going to have to get a whole new furnace. Fun Fun. So until Wednesday we will be getting by on just a little heat from our one furnace and space heaters. At least it's not negative temps out like it has been. We also have a drain that is plugged up so they are coming out Monday. Typical if it's not one thing it's 13 others. Well I think I'm off to finally get some stitching done today.

Excellent start on this one. Does it make you feel any warmer to stitch this despite the furnace troubles? I hope it's all resolved for you soon and happy IHSW!
Another fun one! We LOVE the beach! Too bad about all those household problems... Hope you have good service people... Hugs!
Beautiful new start! It will make a great pillow. I recall when our heater was not working. IT did get fixed and we didn't have to buy a new one. When it was cold I had a pot of water boiling on the stove for heat and lit candles. Hope you can get it fixed without having to buy a new one. love Annette
Another lovely start to another fun project! Much more fun than all the rest that's happening at your house, talk about "when it rains, it pours"! Yikes!! You definitely need some stitch time ")
Congratulations on finishing DCJC. Your final start is lovely, as usual but I'm sad to see you stop your new starts. Boo-hoo-hoo :(
Nevermind, it gives us other things to look forward to like Selkie. I hope you and her enjoy her outing. Hopefully stitching blue sky will make you feel a bit warmer, especially with your heating issues. What a good excuse to curl up on the settee for a hermit weekend of stitching!! :)
Sorry to hear you are having home relate difficulties. As you say though it's never just one thing that causes trouble :-) Love your latest new start. Good luck with getting in lots of stitching for IHSW.
Love this new start! You've got some great things to work on now this year. I'm looking forward to seeing Selkie again but don't forget Hope as she's gorgeous!
Thank you. It makes me miss the ocean haha.
So cute! You always stitch such fun projects.
Hope the household issues get sorted.
Thank you. I'm sure I'll have new starts thrown in the mix. But right now I want to make more progress haha. Yep I agree.
I hope you are able to stay warm and stitching this beauty will help.
Lovely start!! Hope you got your household problem resolved.
Another cutie!! Congrats on doing this for 15 days :)
Another cute start Katie. I have dozens of these charts and have only started 1.
I have so enjoyed seeing your new starts. Thank you for joining me in this SAL.
