Day 3

Today was a sightseeing day in Niagara Falls. We had a delicious breakfast here at our hotel. There is also a nice arcade so we went there to have some fun. Jeremiah won a ton of tickets and had a really fun time. Mom and me went on a walk to a souvenir shop. I found an awesome tie dyed Niagara Falls t-shirt so that's cool. We also found Fred (hubby) a nice t-shirt. Jeremiah got a few too to remember our trip as well. We had our tour planned today at 1pm. We were really hoping to see a lot less people around. Even though a whole bunch checked out there seemed to still be an amazing amount of people here today.

Our tour went fantastic. The bus came right to our hotel and picked us up. Jeremiah's wheelchair doesn't fold to fit on the bus so the hotel let us borrow a normal one for the tour. It worked perfect. We saw so many amazing things. The only bad part we walked up and down hills and wow my feet hurt. Here are some pictures...

The top one is Jeremiah on the Maid in the Mist boat tour. Wow you get RIGHT by the falls. So of course you get drenched. They do give you these ponchos to try to help. The 2nd one is right by the American Falls. The 3rd one is Horseshoe Falls and boy you go right in there. It was just AMAZING. We were surrounded on 3 sides by pounding heavy water and it was just like a downpour of rain. It was breathtaking. I don't know how the drivers of the boats do it! The bottom picture is from the observation deck above the boat tour. What a view!!! It was an amazing tour and we had a great time and learned a lot of history about the falls area. We sure need recovery time. Our feet are NOT happy from all the walking we did. We will move on toward Maine tomorrow. Hopefully we leave all the tourists here cause it was crazy busy. We heard that last Saturday the Maid in the Mist boat took 16,000 people!!!

  5. Great photos. I've been to Niagara Falls, but on the Canadian side. It's different but equally awesome. I'm so glad you had such a great day.

  7. Your photos are great! I also went to the Canadian side when I visited my friend in Toronto, and went on Maid of the Mist. I didn't have the hood pulled as tightly as Jeremiah did and I got drenched! Fun times.
