Feb WIPocalypse

First off we had a FANTASTIC weekend away with friends!! Fred took a half day Friday. We stopped at my favorite stitching store....House of Stitches. I got some new projects for next year's CJC (Crazy January Challenge) and some fabric for Aquatic Maiden. We got to the hotel and the fun started. We have grown so close to this group of friends we pretty much call one another family now. Jeremiah had a blast swimming. We had countless laughs and our sides hurt the next day from all the fun. Now somehow I caught a bug. Sunday we got home and I noticed I wasn't feeling well. Monday morning I felt like death. Yuck! Several friends are now sick too. So we shared fun and illness with each other haha.

So anyway yesterday was a WIPocalypse check in. I had no energy at all. Today I can at least hold my head up. So let's see what I've been working since the last check in Jan 25th...

I was still starting new pieces for the last part of Jan...
I have a tab on the top of my blog to show what I started each day in January if you would like to check it out. After the DUCJC was over here is what I worked on...

HAED Hold on to Hope -- 4 days of work I have 2 more pages to do and I really hope to finish her this year.
Year of Whimsy -- 8 days. Finished January and got Started of Feb.

I started a new project (yep after starting 31 in January haha) Seasonal Bell Pulls from Stoney Creek. I started Spring and worked on it 3 days.
I went back and finished a DUCJC piece called Park it Here after 1 more day of work.
Picked up another DUCJC piece and finished it after 2 more days.
That picture is the front and back of the same pillow design from Hands on Designs.

No stitching over the weekend since I was having fun with friends. Of course now the bug won't let me stitch. This month's question is February 22- Topic: If you have any of your pieces on display in your home which attracts the most plaudits? (via Hazel) Yes I do have several that people notice but I don't have the energy to post any photos. Hopefully I will remember to do this at a later time. Hope everyone reading this stays healthy. See ya next check in March 23rd.

Sorry you're so poorly after such a great weekend. At least it waited until your friends had gone home.
Hope is looking great, closer and closer to a finish now.

When you put a month's worth of stitching together it's surprising how it all adds up. Everything is awesome! Now you need to tell that nasty bug to go away so that you can get back to stitching! :)
