Monday Update

Last week was a blur. I spent the whole week taking care of Mom and Jeremiah. It's always bad when Jeremiah stops playing Xbox. You know he's not feeling well when that happens. So Wednesday I called his doctor. She had the day off but she came in to see a few kids since so many were sick in our area. One school district in Indiana even closed there was so many kids out. Since Jeremiah gets so sick so fast they always make a point to work him in. We found out he had bronchial pneumonia and she started an antibiotic. It really helped but boy Wednesday night he was awake till 4am coughing nonstop so that sure wasn't a good night for either of us. Yesterday he finally played Xbox again. Mom went to the doctor Thursday and found out hers was just bronchitis and it just had to run it's course. She is very very slowly doing better. Then guess what....Yep yesterday I caught it. Nurse duties do that too ya but it was worth it.

So anyway. I did stitch a little bit in between nurse duties haha. I got two days into the Family Crest and finished the 4th page...
Friday I started and finished a cute Valentine freebie but you will have to wait till Jo's Valentine Blog Hop to see that one. My goal is to have it finished finished by then too.

Saturday my lovely hubby ran me to the store. I needed to get a few threads and some fabric. The threads were so I could start the Under the Sea SAL. So when I got home I got started on that cute little octopus finally! Last night I was able to get him all finished up...
I had a piece of 32ct lugana called Cayman Islands by Silkweaver that I received for Christmas. It has lovely blues and greens and looks very oceany to me. Of course it doesn't show up in the picture very well. Now Mom and me are going crazy trying to decide what creatures are going to be next in the SAL. I hate having to wait for the next part. I wanna see it now!! LOL

Hope everyone has escaped this bug going around. It's horrible! Have a great week! Also don't forget to join in my giveaway if you are interested. Drawing will be held Feb 1st. Please just go to the original post to let me know you want to be included.

Healing hugs to your house Katie, hope you're all better soon. The octopus is very sweet and well done on completing page 4 of the crest.

Oh so sorry to hear about your sick household! I sure HOPE they prescribed something for your mother, since bronchitis is a bacterial infection and just won't go away on its own! It turns to pneumonia next--voice of experience speaking! Great progress on the family crest piece, and congrats on the little finish! Hugs!

Oh I adore that cute octopus!! This SAL is promising to be such fun. I like that you've described the colour of the fabric you're using for it too.
Great progress on the family crest too.
Oh dear, if boys stop playing on the Xbox, then yes, they must be unwell ;) I am so sorry Jeremiah caught the bug too but the trip to the GP was really good and he can (and your mum too, of course) can only get better. I can't believe you now got it!!! I think you should really have to down time and stitch a lot, apparently the best medicine ;) Get well soon.

I hope everyone is feeling better, I was the "lucky" one to get this nasty cold in our house.
You know I love the octopus, my arm is slowing being twisted!

So sorry to hear that the bug found you, too, but not very unusual as these bugs affect nearly each family member. But good to know that your son already feels better. And your mom, too.
Nice stitching in the Family Crest. And this little octopus is just so sweet..
