Today is our last day here in Vegas alone. More members of our party of starting to show up tomorrow. So we took a pretty much lazy day off. We went down to eat breakfast at our hotel at a different restaurant. Then we came back up to our room to rest. I was able to catch up with emails and load photos of our trip so far on Facebook. By the way I post a lot more of our trip photos on there so if we aren't friends and you have Facebook please add me if you are interested. I don't want to overwhelm my blog posts with a million pictures. At least I try haha. Anyway at about 3:30pm we went out to Fremont Street again. Let me explain this part for those who aren't familiar with Las Vegas.
Las Vegas strip is where everyone pretty much knows. It's a road full of entertainment and HUGE casinos. Here is a picture I found online...
It is known as sin city. Everything is legal here. It's nothing to see a totally naked person just go walking by. Shock to the system from Indiana that's for sure.
Fremont Street is the "downtown". It's the older area I think. Here is a picture I got online...
My dad has fallen in love with Vegas and has been coming here for years. They first came 2 times a year. Now it's down to one time well I guess they were just here in February so this year it's two again haha. Anyway they prefer the downtown area. It's more laid back. Older. Calmer. Weirder haha. So they suggested we all stay down here. It's also a TON cheaper! So that's nice. Our hotel is right at the end of this canopy you see in the above photo. It's an easy fun walk to all the craziness.
Hopefully that explains Las Vegas better. So we went out to Fremont Street and went to a delicious BBQ rib restaurant called Tony Roma's. It's really good food indeed. We walked back through the craziness and headed back to rest more. Lots to come when the rest of our people arrive.
While on Fremont Street they have a lot of street performers and beggars. Some of them are fun to pose for photos with. Got this one of Jeremiah...

You can give them $1 for the photo. Honestly it's better in my opinion than just begging. So you never know what you might see out there. We saw a topless nun. That was interesting. Jeremiah blushed.
Tomorrow morning Fred (husband) and two very close friends arrive. Tomorrow evening my Dad and step mom are showing up. Friday we have 3 more coming in. What a party!
Now to sleep so I can be ready to have fun fun fun.

Yes! I usually stay downtown when in Vegas because it is much cheaper! It sounds like you guys are having a blast!
It looks like you're having a blast so far, go Jeremiah! The boys were probably four the last time we were there, I think we need to go again.
What fun that family and friends are coming at different times, you'll have plenty to keep you busy!
Poor Jeremiah seeing the topless nun ... that did make me smile... bless him.
So Las Vegas is definitely not for the faint-hearted then! Thank goodness you are keeping photos censored! I'm enjoying your vacation so far but once the rest of the party arrives I'm guessing that's when the fun will really start! :)
