2021 WIPocalypse Intro

Hello Who am I? I'm Katie. I'm Jeremiah's Mom. I'm 41 years old. I live in Indiana. I'm happily married to Fred. We have one son who is now 22 years ago named Jeremiah of course. We live in a house with my mother. We have a small cabin at a private family owed 16 acres that has been made into our own personal campground. We LOVE it there. We used to travel all the time but that has slowed down. I always said Travel while you can and boy we did. Life changes quickly. Never know when. I write this blog like I'm writing a letter to a stitching friend. Which if you leave a comment you will become quickly. I try to post an update post every Monday.

Now to WIPocalypse...

The idea of WIPocalypse came several years ago when I stumbled upon Measi's blog or someone discussing Measi's blog either way. It's a fun idea to finish all our WIPs before the end of the world. Like that hasn't happened already right?? Even more excuse to stitch now in this craziness. You can do whatever you want to do really for this blog SAL. It's just a fun excuse to stitch. What better! Anyway head over to the sign up post if you haven't already joined in...

First Check in Post

So I do have a few goals this year...

I'm doing a monthly piece again this year. I picked Hands on Design's A Year of Celebrations...

I'm stitching them on 32ct Lambswool Evenweave.

I want to finish 99 Bottles of Beer...

I have 74 Bottles done right now. So shouldn't be a problem.

I have 4 months left from last year's Lili of the Valley Calendar. Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec...

Other than those....I want to stitch and enjoy stitching. If something calls me I will stitch on it. Hopefully I'll finish things. I'll probably start some new things in there. I just want to be happy and enjoy my hobby. I don't want to set my goals so high I feel guilty. This is my hobby. It's stress relief shouldn't be stress causing. I'll do some fun things like the FFG on the 10th where you post about your finished finishes which heck yeah I have a lot to do and I really want to do them all. I will do what I can of course. Nothing more. Nothing less. I can't wait to share my journey with my readers and to read about what you guys do.

For Future WIPocalypse posts I will post what I've worked on and for how many days. Progress photos will be included of course. It's always motivating to look back and see what's changed. See ya later. Thanks for stopping by.

I don't see why you can't achieve all of those goals this year; they're small and sensible and all involve small projects. Other than those, I look forward to seeing which other projects scream the loudest to become new starts or receive attention. Like me, you have 'one or two' to choose from! :)

Stitching is most certain a pleasure not a chore, I'm sure your projects will be completed but make sure you do enjoy every stitch

It's amazing how hard it can be to get into fun mode - sometimes when I'm stressed out I want to stitch, but then I make my stitching stressful anyway. Grrr. I salute you're commitment to a good time!

I'm sure you'll be successful this year, but I think you forgot something. What about Beer Dragon?

Very well said on stitching and enjoyment. I made it all much too stressful on myself and have just simplified my rotation in the hopes of getting back to the fun. Nice mix of projects and I look forward to watching your progress on them and seeing what comes up next.

Wow, achievable goals! Who are you this year? I think my favourite is the Just have fun stitching goal!
Looking forward to that HoD series, I love a monthly series as you know!

Those look like very reasonable goals for the year and they look like you will be bale to accomplish them with no problems! Though I am looking forward to seeing what else you stitch on!

Well, you're close to finishing up the beer and fairies so that should be easy peasy for you!
I love the new calendar series you've chosen, another cute one. And hey, don't forget all those wonderful dragons!
But stitch what you enjoy, you've got plenty to keep you busy.
