Dec 20th Almost Monday Update

Yesterday was so busy I didn't get computer time. I'm here now though. Let's see what stitching I've been up to last week...

I put one more day into Beer Dragon. Here he is now going back into the WIP basket...

I really enjoyed working on him again. I promised him it wouldn't be another year of him laying alone. But a new start was calling me. Jeremiah and me even had to spin a decision wheel. Gnomes or the Hedgehogs. Gnomes won. So I got started on the Winter Gnome Wednesday. Here he is after 4 days of progress...

I'm using a 32ct Light Blue Lugana for this set and the suggested DMC. My needles were in love with this pattern. The hedgehogs will wait....for right now. I hear the whispers starting to get louder though. They want to be started.

Last week before Christmas. Yesterday Fred had off work. My mom's bank account has been a pain to get closed out. Yesterday I headed back to town to hopefully get it fixed. Of course the guy who promised to be there was out sick. So we ended up having to wait an hour. But at the end of the hour we finally got a very nice clerk and it was finally taken care of. Finally! Then we stopped at Walmart to gather a few last big family gifts. We wanted an air fryer and some big stuff like that. Luckily we found everything we wanted. We thought we would be home at 3pm and instead it was 6pm. Then we ran into town to do our laundry so it can wait till after the new year now. Busy Busy Day but stuff marked off the to do list.

Today is a day off. Wednesday we are going to get our final groceries that you can't get because they need to last till Christmas. Plus we have a potential severe winter storm heading our way. Possibly even a blizzard they are saying. Negative 20 wind chills. 55 mph wind. Possibly more than 6 inches of snow. Jeremiah wished for a white Christmas and I told him next time don't wish so hard haha.

This is my last update till after though so....

A Very Merry Christmas to all! I hope Santa spoils us all!! Can't wait to read and write all about it.

Hi Katie: Nice progress on the Dragon, I bet he does not like being in the WIP basket, giggles.
The Gnome is adorable, nice progress after four days, congratulations Jeremiah for spinning for the Gnome win.
Yes, it is going to snow we are expecting 6-10 inch's here in Minnesota and then it heads off east, so sorry about that.
It is very cold here today it is only 10 above with high winds.
Merry Christmas Happy New Year

Dragon looks great, but I can see why the gnomes tempted you - the first one is shaping to to be a real cutie! We're supposed to be 80 degrees on Christmas, which is ridiculous. Maybe your weather and our weather could meet in the middle?

Just remember, Beer Dragon is now able to watch you so don't leave him alone for too long!
I'm glad you started the gnomes, they are so cute.
I hope you don't get hit too hard by the storm, I think we're just going to end up with rain, bummer. Have Jeremiah wish some our way, please!

Beer Dragon is looking great as is your little gnome.
I do hope the weather isn't too bad for you. Keep the wood burner going and stay cosy!

Your progress on both is great, Katie! I think we got off lucky with the storm here in western PA. Although extremely cold, we only got an inch or two of snow. Really a relief as I know so many parts of the country had it really bad.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
