Trip to the ER

Today didn't go as planned. When I woke up this morning my mom was in intense pain. She was in tears. So I quickly tried to figure out what to do. I hinted to my mom's health issues in an earlier post. What's so frustrating is she has went to Redi Med and her doctor in the mean time. One time she was diagnosed with a kidney infection and her diabetes was really bad. The pain stayed after the infection cleared up though. So back to the doc. They checked for another kidney infection....nope it was clear so nothing. So today I said Mom let's go. So we went to the ER. Now with no insurance this is a hard decision to make. You know it's going to be expensive. It was expensive for me and I HAVE insurance. Anyway after a million dollars worth of tests guess what showed up...

NOTHING!!!!!!

I swear I wanted to scream in the room. How can nothing show up when you are in intense in tears pain. Well they said we should be happy because of what it didn't show......Sure....But now what. They gave her 10 days worth of pain pills. Oh no problem. I'm sure that will fix it. It's only been horrible pain since January!!!

On other news tomorrow is Friday of the 3rd weekend of the month. What's that mean....IHSW! I haven't decided what I'm going to start tomorrow. If you read this give me your vote....

Spring by The Cricket Collection or Happy Holidays by Ursula Michael or anything else on my Goals Tab haha. Jeremiah said Happy Holidays. We'll see what screams the loudest in my basket tomorrow I guess. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and that my fellow IHSWers have a lot of stitching time!

Have you started going thru the internet for all her symtoms (I know the sp is wrong)? It might be a good place to start now. My momwent to the ER for back pain and upon my insistence (arguing and yelling) they looked in the kidney area, sure enough they found cancer. Sorry the tests didn't find anything. CHeck the hosi]pital out online as well. Most hospitals will lower costs for the uninsured and work on deals for payment.
Hang in there.

I'm so sorry to hear about what is going on with your mom! How frustrating! Does she have a regular Dr that knows her better that she could see, instead of the ER?
I vote for you to work on Spring!

I'm sorry The Jody is going through this. I know how frustrating not having insurance is, and how let down by the system so many of us are.

I vote for the "Happy Holidays"...cuz I'm IN LOVE with that one! I really would like a copy of that pattern if you can!
