Wohoo I had a very successful IHSW. How did you do? I started a new HAED for this weekend. Here is how far I got...
I'm so pleased. If you have worked on HAEDs you know why this took me so long even though it's a small piece 3 inches tall by 2 inches wide. This pattern has 90 colors in it and I swear probably 50 in this little section. This is the first one I've worked on that doesn't have background on it and it really is a lot more difficult. Most the time it's line by line. This type has a lot more counting. The tail is finished and I love the little blue's and green's spread in there. I think I'm going to keep working on this one this week.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Hello
Your new start is lovely - 90 colours eek!

You are off to a great start, I look forward to seeing more of it.
I didn't realize it would be more difficult without the background. It will certainly look very beautiful! Keep on stitching!
Fantabulous! :)
I love it! Great progress! You made good use of your time during this IHSW! Maybe one day I will attempt to tackle an HAED piece, but I'm just not brave enough! but in the meantime, I'll enjoy watching the work of those who are!
What a great start Katie. It is a gorgeous one.

Wow Katie great progress. I think that HAED charts are beautiful but never had the guts to try one.

It's so beautiful, but 90 colours!!! Gotta love HAED.
I still haven't been brave enough to start a HAED. This looks great!
I love dragonflies and yours looks fab!
Gorgeous!
that dragonfly is just lovely!
I can't believe how many colors in such a small piece. The blues of his tail really are lovely though, and probably wouldn't look as amazing with any less colors.
Great progress (and a HAED start)!! What a sucessful hermit, and I agree the ones without the background are so hard, all that confetti!
