Vacation Day 12

Oops. One definite way of telling I had a fantastic time at the PALs Stitching Retreat is my lack of updates. I spent the whole time stitching and no time on the computer. I did get a lot of stitching done though. I also got a lot of talking and laughing done haha. It was a great time. It's late and I will do a better update soon.

This morning we loaded everything up and turned the GPS on and loaded our next destination. We thought it would be a quick 2 hour trip. The GPS surprised us with the 6 hours news! Oh well gotta do what you gotta do so off we went. We arrived safe and sound but it was a lot longer day than we had originally thought. We arrived at about 5pm. Here is a picture of what the hotel looks like...
It's called the Sea Ranch Resort in Kill Devil Hills, NC. My first time to Outer Banks. My mom just loves it here. This hotel has condo style rooms and it's really nice and RIGHT on the ocean. So we got everything unloaded again and moved in. We also ate a quick dinner at a really cute restaurant called Jolly Roger right nearby. Our hotel gives us free breakfast there so we will be going back a lot! I will have a lot of pictures to share but too tired to do it tonight. Sorry for making you think I fell off the face of the earth. I'm still here. Just was having way too much fun and stitching time.

By comparison, you are relatively CLOSE to me! wish I had known... am trying to schedule a trip to the Outer Banks, with friends, this week... How long will you be there?? Can't wait for the next update on the Retreat! Hugs!

There is a great restaurant almost on the beach with the BEST lobster and shrimp bisque. The restaurant is part bar , part restaurant, great food, so-so on looks. Sorry I can' think of the name.
Have fun! I love the Outer banks too especially at this time of the year when there aren't many tourists. Mae sure you see the Wright brothers place and museum- really cool. They have the original Singer sewing machine that their sister sewed the wings on. Have fun!
