Secret Stitching Sweethearts Blog Hop

Today is Valentine's Day. Hubby and I don't really celebrate cause I'm so lucky every day to have him in my life. I'm not a card person. I think it's a waste of money. Don't get me flowers they just die what symbol of love is that? He gets me sweet tarts and candy bars throughout the year. So I don't need a special day to tell me to be in love. I'm happy with how we celebrate I hope you are too. We will curl up with our favorite TV shows on the DVR and enjoy the evening together. How are you celebrating?

I joined in a Secret Stitching Sweethearts Blog Hop. Pop on over here to see the people who hopped along. We are supposed to share a picture of a heart that we got emailed to us. Then we can hop through the links and found out who received our own piece. So we were told to pick a heart themed stitching piece. Here is the gorgeous piece I received to show off...
I can't wait to see who stitched this piece. Thanks for hopping by. Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. We don't usually celebrate. We don't buy gifts but we do splurge a bit on dinner. Tonight we had hibachi. He's at work now so I'm watching Hello Dolly and stitching but it's a good night :) Happy Valentine's Day

  2. Still no sign of your Secret Stitcher... hope they don't take too much longer to claim this lovely design :o)
We don't really celebrate Valentine's Day either any more.... but that doesn't stop us both feeling a bit squishy and sentimental about the day! :o) ♥
    Hugs xx

  3. Gorgeous Valentine heart! I wonder who sent it...
My husband was at work on Valentine's Day but we celebrated the same way you did, in front of the TV! Younger son made me a Valentine's/Lego minifigure card which is super cute.
Happy Valentine's Day to you xx

  5. So glad that you like it, Katie. It is mine, I stitched it last year for an Initial heart swap. The green letters spell out Sharmayne, the name of my swap partner. hugs, Kaye

  8. Oh it is by Kaye!! I have had this one in my stash for years and years!! Love her rendition tho... going to go pull it out and do it today! We don't celebrate Valentine's Day because my birthday is the 8th and he USED to give me Valentines for my birthday... so, forget that! I would rather celebrate my birthday than a man-made holiday that exploits candy and flowers!! Ha!

  10. Beautiful design !! We also don't do anything special on Valentine's day...just being together, for as long as we can, make the years lovely. A single day can't beat that happiness.
