For 5 days now I've been working on HAED Hold on to Hope. I just love her so much. We all need to hold on to hope that's for sure. I also took the time finally to add up how many stitches she has. Since the background was removed it was a pain to calculate but I finally figured it all out haha. I think stitching the background is probably easier than figuring how the stitch count haha.
The picture on the left is how she will look when all finished.
This is where I left her on Feb 6th. Here is where she is now...
She finally has an adorable little elbow. I have only 621 more stitches till I finish this page! So now let me throw some numbers at ya. This is page 5 of 9. I now have 20,928 stitches into this piece. Total on the whole design is 31,276. So I'm very very excited that she might actually be a finish sometime in my life haha. I have a feeling she will be screaming for me to work on her a lot more often now.
Linking up to the Stitchery Link Party at Super Mom. Stop on over to see what it's all about.
Jeremiah update: He's still healing. Frustratingly slow for the both of us but healing. He is back to eating fantastic. The wound likes to scare us both by bleeding but the nurse said that's very normal when it's healing. So we are taking breathes and it helps to hear the word normal. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since surgery so considering that he's doing great.
Life update: Over the weekend we did a lot of yard work. It looks fantastic but wow it's a lot of work. Our favorite wisteria tree died so we had to dig it out and plant something new. We also put down more mulch and some decorative bricks in front of the house to the landscaping to hold the mulch in place better. On Sunday we could barely move but when you look out the window it sure looks nice.

This is such a pretty cross stitch project and you have made great progress! So glad to hear that Jeremiah is healing (even if it is slowly) it is going in the right direction! Hugs! :) x

You've made wonderful progress on your HOPE stitchery. It's it going to be lovely when it's done.
I'm glad to hear that your son's healing is progressing. These times can be the hardest for a parent (even once they're adults like mine.) We wish we could wave a magic wand and make them better.
Thanks so much for linking up to the Stitchery Link Party again this week and for linking back! Aloha hugs!
Hope is looking beautiful as ever, stunning:) Glad to hear the word normal too, I'm sure Jeremiah will heal faster because of your TLC:)

Hope is so cute... I look forward to her updates! Glad to hear Jeremiah is doing better, recovering. I hear ya about being sore after working in the garden...
This is such a beautiful piece of work, and I'm very impressed with your stitch count! Sorry to hear about your son's surgery, but glad he's on track with recovery.
Glad to hear Jeremiah is doing better~ And you're over halfway with Hope so yaaaaaaaay. The way you have your parked threads looks like a continuation of her wing. :D
Coming along beautifully, Katie. So sorry to hear about your wisteria tree. :(
So glad to hear that Jeremiah is still recovering. What a worry this must be for you - they are still our babies however old they are!
Nice to see Hope again.
The stitching looks awesome! I have this chart in my HUGE stash collection, it's great to see you stitching up it!
