I've been busy but I'm getting closer and closer to a finish slowly haha. I thought I would stop in and share my latest progress. Just the last part of filling in the background to go on my Always Thankful by Erica Michaels. Then there are a few lines of backstitched border.
Tomorrow Fred (hubby) has the day off work. We are going down to Southern Indiana to a cute town called Santa Claus. I haven't been there in forever and a half so I'm really looking forward to it. We are going to a geocaching event. If you case you haven't heard of geocaching it's basically a high tech treasure hunt type of game. You play with a handheld GPS unit and find hidden things. When you find them you sign your name on the logbook and get a point. We have been to so many fantastic places and met countless people because of this hobby. They are having a large event which is basically a gathering for people who enjoy geocaching. Several of our group of friends will be there. One of my closer friends said something about going and we said why not. What a fun excuse to get away and enjoy our weekend. I know it will be a great time. Jeremiah is going to stay home with Grandma and have a fun weekend full of Xbox. Hope everyone reading this has a great weekend as well.

Like you say, closer and closer. Even though it's for another hobby you enjoy, you must feel sad at having to put this down for the weekend when you are so close to a finish. I hope your geocaching goes well and that Jeremiah gets away with a lot while his parents are away! :)
It looks beautiful, almost there! A town called Santa Claus sounds exciting already:) Enjoy geocaching your way to the treasure, hope it's a trunk full of xstitch kits, lol! Have a great one and report asap, haha.
Awesome!! You're so close and it's looking fantastic. I hope you have a great weekend too and have fun with your friends!
Sounds like fun! I never tried it because I get lost everywhere I go but it's a cool concept. Your stitching is looking great!
That looks fabulous! The yellow stitched background is really worth the effort, it really sets off the words.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend - all of you!
Your stitching is coming along so beautifully!
Enjoy your time away! I've heard of geocaching & looked a bit into it & was amazed to find out some of the "treasures" were actually hidden in my local town park, which just happen to be behind our back garden :)
Lots of our friends geocache, I really must look into it locally as its something great to do with the kids. You've made great progress with the yellow, not much to go now. Have a great weekend.
I wasn't sure about doing all the background to start with but it does look good now. And a nice easy thing to do while watching TV or talking to someone.
Enjoy the geocaching.
The background certainly makes the letters stand out.
