DUCJC Day 2

Let's see what Jeremiah picked for me for Day 2 of the DUCJC...
Halloween Minis by Artecy Cross Stitch. I'm going to doing 8 of these as individual blocks to make Halloween cubes like my Christmas Pals cubes I finished up. The bat, 2nd pumpkin, cauldron, and tombstone just don't call to me right now. But I just love the look of the other 8. I started with the top pumpkin today. Here is where I got today...
I'm doing these on 14ct white Aida since they are fully covered. They are 47x47 blocks.

My sweet hubby took me to Hobby Lobby today. I had 4 floss that I needed to buy. Funny thing is that 47 followed me home. I'm convinced they travel in large groups haha. I'm sure there will still be some more I need of course but hopefully that can wait till next time I get to the store. I was surprised to see they had a lot of new nice kits too. I was looking and then remembered I'm in the midst of starting 31 new pieces and told myself I could wait haha. Just nice to see they have a supply again. One time I was nervous at how little the cross stitch section had became. We also took Izzy (our dog) to get her nails trimmed. She would have much preferred to just stayed home of course. Fred took down our outside Christmas lights. I'll miss them but it was time. After dinner we watched San Andreas finally. It was a fantastic movie. The Rock is just nice to look at. It was sure full of action and we really enjoyed it. Hopefully tomorrow will be another successful stitching day.

Love the jack-o-lantern! I think the 4 floss would have been lonely without the other 43. ;)

Great day 2 choices by your son and a good start on your pumpkin. I love Hallowe'en colours.

Another great choice and spooky start!
Don't you love successful shopping trips?? :)

I've not seen these before and they are definitely different and will look great made up as cubes. Just a thought - are you going to add any glow-in-the-dark thread to them for that extra bit of spookiness? :)

I guess the floss thought you were the pied piper for them :) But congrats anyway for being so patient with the new kits.
Your both days starts are great!!

Great start.
It's funny how a couple of skeins turn into a bunch on the way to the cashier :D

Nice start and a great idea to do a cube to match your Christmas cube. :)

Two lovely new starts for the challenge.

Great choice for day #2! I like all the ones you like and don't like the ones you don't like! They don't seem to "fit" with the chosen 8 if that makes sense.
Love your floss shopping...you've probably saved on fuel as you'd only have had to go again if you just bought a few!

These are great! I think you've chosen the best eight for your project too.
Looking forward to seeing this design progress.

Oh wow, you have already stitched a lot of this block. Some of them look really scary. But a great project for the Crazy Challenge.

Another great start, I like the choices esp. the mummy, looks wacky. It's hard to resist leaving those lonely floss behind once you enter those doors, lol.
