Vacation Day # 8

Today we saw 3 more lighthouses. Brings our total so far to 11 new ones. We headed up the coast today. Our goal for this vacation was Split Rock Lighthouse. My mom has wanted to see it for probably 10 years she said. On our way up we stopped at a beautiful state park...
Gooseberry Falls State Park. We enjoyed the nature/visitors center and then hiked a little bit to see this beautiful waterfall. I walked a little farther down several flights of steps to see a few more waterfalls. It was so beautiful. Nicest part is for a bit it was just me in the wilderness and it was so breathtaking. Then we finally made it our goal...
Split Rock Lighthouse!! My mom was so excited. It's on top of a cliff and the scenery is just amazing! They also had a history/gift center so we got to go through it too...
They had this Lego Split Rock. We want that Lego kit!! Of course I would hate to know how much it would cost haha. On the way back to our town we stopped and saw two more lighthouses...
Two Harbors Lighthouse and ....
Two Harbors Breakwater. I picked on this last one a bit. It looks like it's missing half it's lighthouse. It's a lighthouse though so it counts. So 11 new ones to our find count now. We're doing great!! We came back to town and are finally resting. Boy we did a lot of walking today. It was fun but I'm tired.

Wow! What a fantastic day, and with gorgeous weather by the looks of it. Jeremiah looks so happy and I bet your mum was too, having seen the lighthouse of her dreams!
As a Lego fan/trader I can help you out with the Lego Lighthouse. It's not available as a kit and you really don't want to know how much it would cost to buy the parts in to build it!! Cross stitch stash is really cheap in comparison!! Just enlarge the photo and put that on your wall instead! :)

Looks like a fantastic day!! The Lego mock looks really nice and would be priceless for collectors! Someone certainly had a great time putting it together :)

So cool to see this big lighthouse built with legos. And such different lighthouses that you could visit that day.
