Vacation Day #7

Today was a very rainy day. I even heard a report tonight of over 4 inches of rain in the area. The grass area is really flooded now. I couldn't get a picture of it though because by the time we got back to our hotel it was dark. I saw another lady had posted it though on Facebook. Not hurricane related just all the humidity finally letting loose. Like I said yesterday it keeps fogging up my camera when I try to take pictures and even our glasses when we walk outside.

Today we went to this fun shopping area called Barefoot Landing. We make sure to go there every year. We enjoy the shopping and there are several nice restaurants too. Last year the water area in the middle...
Started having alligators again. One point several years ago we were told they removed the alligators because they were biting people.....not a good thing ya know. So we were surprised to see them back last year. They said the hurricane and the flooding had brought them back. So we were curious to see if they would still be there this year...
Yep still there.

If you look right to the right of Jeremiah you can see one. We even saw a lady throw a tator tot and one of the alligators happily snapped it up. We ate lunch on a porch by the water. It was nice but then...
Heavy rain let loose. So our shopping went pretty quickly. Just the stores we could dash into. We will more than likely go back later this week again. It was a fun visit even though we got wet.

Tonight we had tickets to another one of Dolly Parton's Dinner shows if you followed out Gatlinburg Vacation. This one is called Pirate's Voyage. She put lots of money into a Dixie Stampede and re-made it into a pirate show. It's the best dinner show by far. Here is a picture of the inside of the theater that I found online to show you what it looks like...
It's a wonderful pirate competition. There is diving, sword fighting, amazing acrobatic acts, juggling, sea lions performing, and so much more. Plus you get delicious food to eat while watching. We've been to it every year we have came to Myrtle Beach. Wouldn't miss it. I think I heard tomorrow is going to be another rainy day. I just hope it helps it cool down and lowers the humidity.

Watch out for those alligators! We have ducks, geese and swans in UK, much safer! :D
The pirate show definitely look like a must do. Hope you have all enjoyed it.

Sounds like another great day even with the rain! Not sure about the alligators though. I will have to Google tater tots - I have wondered for years what they are!

No, people, do not feed the alligators! They are not ducks LOL
Glad that you enjoyed the show too.
Stay dry!

It's been a while since we've been there, but I don't think I remember seeing alligators!

Not sure I would have been sitting their eating with the added 'watcher' in the water.

Oh my, alligators so near by. How scary. In spite of all the rain and the alligators you seemed to have a lot of fun.
