Monday Update and Vacation Day 1

We had a busy week trying to get everything ready for vacation. But we survived and some how we got everything ready. Friday Fred, Jeremiah and me went down to the cabin to relax. We got great news last week that my Uncle is now Cancer Free! He fought Stage 4 Cancer and won!! So a celebration was in order. So Saturday we had family and friends over to celebrate. This is my Uncle that helped with the cabin so much and we have grown so close with him since we got the family campground. Even more now since we did the cabin together. We appreciate him so much. Now they just have to keep an eye on him every 3 months to make sure new spots don't pop up. Feels better knowing they beat this one at least. It's possible. The weather was finally cool and it felt fantastic to open our windows and our new screen door and enjoy the breeze. Saturday night we sat around the fire and enjoyed each other's company. It was a great day.

Sunday we got home and hubby helped me load up the van and get ready to leave this morning. We hit the road about 10am. Our goal is Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It's about 9 hours from home. We are planning to arrive Wednesday for the retreat that starts Thursday. We decided to leave today so we had a lot of time to enjoy our travel and not rush anything.
We made it to the middle of Ohio about noon and the soft rain turned to heavy miserable to see rain so we decided to call it quits for the day. We found a hotel we have actually stayed in before for another adventure we took. We ate a nice meal at a restaurant nearby called O'Charley's. They have delicious soup. What's better on a rainy day. We got our room and got all settled in. Jeremiah said he heard something and the vent in our bedroom was leaking a steady stream of water right on mom's bed. So we talked to the front desk and got everything moved to another room. What a pain. It was rainy outside and we came inside to get away from it. Guess we didn't try hard enough haha. Now we are re-settled and relaxing. New TV shows start tonight so we are excited about those.

Thanks for traveling along with us. Who knows what we will do each day.
