Monday Update

Last Monday I bothered you all with 5 new posts. Don't worry today you only get two.

Tuesday I got busy on Mom's Nautical Monthly design. I really wanted to hurry and get it done so I could concentrate on my other Dark October pieces. Even the Lizzie Kate has a bit of a Fall theme at least. I got a fantastic 5 hour day Tuesday because I needed to do lots of laundry...
Wednesday I was able to put the finishing touches already...
 (31) October 2nd
October from Sand, Sea and Cross Stitch Book
Stitched on 14ct White Aida Fabric
Threads are Suggested DMC
Started Oct 1st. Took 2 Days.
8 Hours and 9 Minutes Start to Finished.

Thursday Jeremiah, Mom, and Me packed up and headed to the cabin. A friend of the family was hosting a 10th anniversary party over the weekend at our campground. We wanted to be there to help out. Plus any excuse we can make for an extra night there is a good excuse right? On the way there we ended up finding out a family coming from Mississippi was actually going to be there Thursday night. So it ended up being perfect we were going to be there after all.

We watched a movie together and went out to eat dinner. Then in the evening we welcomed the family and helped them get situated. They had a 9 hour drive. I stole 29 minutes worth of stitching time before going to bed. I had taken the Boo Keychain from Rovaris with me to work on. No luck finding time Friday or Saturday.

Friday the family went and did some grocery shopping, Mom headed home, and Dad and Bev came over to get things ready. We were able to help get everything setup and ready for the others to arrive.

Like I said in my last post about cats we had a new kitty at the barn. My Dad and Bev found this adorable kitten at their factory. I sent Bev a request for a photo and luckily she had taken one for me to be able to share with you...
Isn't her face precious. She has found a new home and she really loves it there already. Poor girl was covered in fleas, skinny, and very dehydrated. They gave her medicine, food, and lots of water. Plus she loves the affection she is getting. We have named her Chatterbox.

There ended up being two campers and 3 tents worth of people plus the regulars haha. It was kind of cold and rainy so a lot of other people didn't show up. 21 people made for a fun party at least. We also cut down 2 big trees, planted grass seed, added some dirt to the dam area of the pond. So you can see why I didn't steal any stitching time.

Sunday when we got home I got back to stitching while we were watching the WWE pay per view. More time spent on the Boo Keychain. Here is where I got with it...
Sorry for the blurry photo. Now I need to get busy on my Lizzie Kate October piece. I really am itching to start those fantastic Mill Hill kits.

Lots more fun plans coming up too. So I need to hurry those stitches! It helped with Mom's piece so hopefully it helps with mine too. Have a great week! We have finally cooled down in Indiana so the AC is finally resting and it's just WONDERFUL outside.

I can understand why you wanted to get your mom's non-Halloween piece done and dusted for the month. It looks great, but you must be glad to get onto Halloween projects now.
I see you have replaced your YOW list with the #24HOCS acrostic. It'll be great seeing so many crossed off each month. Good luck! :)

Your Mom's piece looks great! Can't wait to see your Dark October pieces.

What a cute kitty! I am a dog person but he is a cutie! Sounds like another great weekend at the cabin! Whatever did you guys do before the cabin? LOL

Another great finish, I'm sure Mom's happy!
Can your weekends there get any better? I'm glad you're still having such fun being at the campground.
Awe, she is an adorable kitty, little Miss Chatterbox. Lucky her for finding a home there.
