What a fun week. No stitching time but a lot of fun indeed. We all 4 headed down to our cabin Thursday morning. My dad and Uncle caught a deer so we were able to get there in time for Jeremiah to watch it be processed for food. He really enjoyed it. I will save you the gross pictures though. They were very happy with all the meat to put up in the freezer for winter though that's for sure. I think I heard 52 pounds of total processed meat. We had a delicious lunch out with some friends who were able to join us. Then because it was Thursday my Grandpa had a Christmas Man Cave meeting since Jeremiah could be there. Fred and Jeremiah didn't get back to the cabin till 8:30pm and then he talked till 10pm catching me up on everything. He always has such a great time there. We had a very sleepless night because of all the excitement. We woke up at 4am giggling and talked for a bit. Luckily we fell back asleep for a bit though.
In the morning we had our breakfast and called Dad and Bev to come over. We opened presents with them and then watched National Lampoon Christmas vacation which is our yearly tradition for Jeremiah's whole life now. Love it! After that we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Elshire's for a delicious lunch and more presents. Already spoiled rotten and full of love we headed home. We got home about 6:30pm and joked about being tired enough to go to sleep. Especially since we seen Santa hadn't delivered yet of course since it was now only Christmas Eve night.
So we headed to bed and the magic happened. Fred gave me strict orders to sleep past 4am haha. So at 6am I laughed and said You can't be mad it's past 4. I ran down to Jeremiah's bed and jumped in. He was giggling as soon as I opened the door. He woke up at 2am I guess haha. Downstairs to find evidently Jeremiah had behaved...
So had we evidently. We each got a nice stack of presents. So we laughed and took our time opening presents. Jeremiah made out like a bandit as always. He got a ton of new video games and we got a Nintendo Switch to share as a family. We were all spoiled rotten. Fred got me some new needles for my stitching. A 100 pack of my favorite needles to keep me busy. Mom got me some stitching. I did ask for a scaled back Santa year since I have too much to stitch already.

Two cute Mill Hill Kits. Winter Feast and Seagull.
Today I started trying to catch up on putting some things away and got an alert on my phone about a new release from Paine Free Crafts. Needless to say it immediately found it's to my life...
Sometimes Santa doesn't get enough notice to get everything. Just look at those COLORS!!!
I think I've said it before but my word for 2022 is Balance. So I hope I can balance my life between family, my fitness journey, emails/blogging, and STITCHING. I will sure do my best. If I have a bad day I will breath and start fresh the next one.
I'm not going to do a monthly piece next year. I have several to catch up on finish the last 2 sets. Plus I have SOOOOO much I want to be stitching. Remember.....look up!!
Have a great week and Happy New Year! I just might be forced to organize my threads to see if I have everything for Rainbow Dragon and get her started. How beautiful. Can't wait!!!

It sounds like you had an amazing Christmas! Not too much Stitchy stash, just enough to make room for that gorgeous dragon!
So glad you all had a fantastic few days over Christmas. I love your new stash, especially the beach gnome, but had to laugh that your mom had bought you nearly all nautical things - wonder where the finished items will end up!!! The dragon is gorgeous too; I expect it will be a new start soon, if it isn't already! :)
I'm glad you had such a good Christmas spent with friends and family. I love your new stash. Especially the gnome. I'll have to go look for that one.
Sounds like a wonderful Christmas for you and your family. You received some great charts and I have to agree with Rachel about the stitchy thing your Mom bought! But at least they have a good destination!
Wow, that deer should keep you well fed for a while.
It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas x3!
You received some great patterns, you can't go wrong with gnomes, mermaids, and MH kits! And that Dragon is amazing, those colours are so beautiful.
