Hello Readers. 3 more days put into Beer Dragon...
Look at that adorable eye begging me to stitch more. Love it!!!
We've been busy busy getting everything ready for Christmas. I am so excited. It will sure be a different year but I think we will be okay. Well I know we will be okay. Just different. All but one Amazon order is here. A few things coming via mail but they are in transit at least. We went on a road trip Saturday. Even loaded up Spike. He did fantastic on our 8 hour day trip. We went an hour and half away. They have this large place that receives pallets of goods each day. Never know what it will be. Toilet seat right beside canned peas. Some of the peas are dented but if you look there are a whole bunch not for 99 cents. We ended up with one Christmas present and bags and bags of snacks and food haha. Must have been hungry. Dad and Bev went with us. They split off and we came back here locally to a game store for Jeremiah. It's our first time to this one and it's nicer than any of the franchise where we lived so definitely another advantage of moving. We also drove through this drive through park with Christmas lights. It was wonderful. A great day.
Friday evening my dad got another deer. 4th one for our family this year. So Sunday we processed it and put it all away in the freezers. Fred also got a fire bush planted. My mom's family got it in her honor. We planted it over by the pond. She loved water. I can't wait to see it bloom this year. It's a gorgeous busy. Almost full grown already too!
So we've been busy but having fun and loving life. Some tears mix in. But mostly good times. Trying to make sure to squeeze stitching time in there too.
Have a great week. Love yourself. Smile. Don't stress too much about Christmas. It will all work out somehow.

That eye really is calling for you to put some more stitches in. He'll see better once that second eye is completed. Sounds like you got quite the little haul from your day trip. Hope your week is filled with the holiday spirit! Happy stitching! -Andrea
He's looking great! It's great to hear about your fun time!
Beer Dragon is gorgeous! It’s nice that you’re trying new things and making new traditions this year. Planting for your Mum is a lovely idea too.
It sounds like you're almost set for Christmas, Katie. Yes, it will be different, but you know your mom would want you all to celebrate and enjoy yourselves. That's what I always tell myself :)
I love the idea of the plant in memory of your mom... that is what I often do for relatives. Give them money to purchase a plant or shrub to plant in their yard in memory of their loved ones.
Enjoy your countdown to Christmas ♥
Hi Katie: Great progress on thew dragon.
It is always nice to have a day trip.
We cannot say ride, car or going shopping Mikey the little dog gets excited then we have to take him with, he loves to ride in the car.

He sees you when you're sleeping... LOL
I love this little guy, and I am glad that the details are coming out great. I have this pattern in my pattern hoard to work on eventually one day (probably won't ever get to it, but I can dream). He is looking amazing!
You made lots of great progress on Beer Dragon this time. Sounds like you guys are all ready for Christmas. We are all ready here too and I am waiting for one package for my son from the UK. Oh I want to go to that store with you! Sounds like a flea market for household items! I think your Dad has really good aim and patience with the deer this year!
If I don't talk to you before next weekend ~ Merry Christmas to you and your family!
He's definitely got his eye on you! Keep on stitching, he's looking good so far.
It will be a different Christmas this year for sure, but I know she'd want us to enjoy it. I'm glad you're keeping busy and having a good time. Treasure those memories!
Sending hugs your way.
