Vacation Day #3

Guess what?! We got here a day early. I think when you tell mom there is an ocean ahead she really steps on it haha. We found out we were going to arrive early so I called to find out if we could get our room today instead of tomorrow. I was told they were sold out. That sucks but we'll manage. We'll just stay somewhere else and then move again tomorrow. We were trying to decide where to stay and I said you know what let's just pull in and check to make sure they didn't end up having a room at our hotel. The lady behind the desk said Oh no problem we have your room available.....Um....Okay....Great. I wanted to give her a hug. We can move all our things in and STAY instead of moving again tomorrow.

It was late today so we got everything moved in then we decided to go eat dinner. Now let's see if I can explain this...Have you ever heard of a webcam? Well you can look up webcams that are located at different places. We've been known to find webcams in places we travel and then we can call my hubby and he can spy on us from home. Following me still? So we found webcams at Myrtle Beach. When we are bored we watch the ocean from home in Indiana. There is also one at a restaurant we have ate at before here. So we figured let's go eat there. Jeremiah called his dad and said look us up. Here is the photo he captured...
There we are in Myrtle Beach on vacation being watched by a webcam on our Roku in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Crazy. We definitely felt spied on the whole time we were eating. They even had a really good band playing and we really enjoyed it.
We found out they are having Bike Week here in Myrtle Beach and boy are there bikes EVERYWHERE. They are fun to see all the different ones but we are being extra careful. We have already seen one really bad accident. So we have to make sure to watch in all directions. It will be a busy weekend probably in this area but at least we are here safe and sound. Tomorrow we can start the tourist part of our time here. The PALs retreat doesn't start until Wednesday.

I did get my Seaside Sampler piece started last night. Here is my first night progress on it...

How weird is this webcam thing!
Enjoy your break and nice to know the hotel was able to sort you out earlier too.
Great start on your stitching project too.

So cool that you arrived a day early and could stay in the same hotel, phew! And nice that Fred can "see" you too. :) Nice start and can't wait to see what else you find.

Great news that the hotel had the room spare a day early, especially with all the bikes in town. Maybe Jeremiah can hitch a lift on a trike?
Wave to Dad back at home!

I can understand that you got the feeling of being watched during your meal with this webcam there, lol.
Nice start on your new piece.
