Monday!?! Update

Wait what day is it? Who am I? LOL Christmas rush has took over my brain. So here's my Monday Update on Wednesday...

Other than the day of my last Monday update I've only found time to stitch 2 other days! I worked on the Christmas jar still and here I am now with it after 6 days of progress...
I did get a lot stitched on it during the 3 days since the last photo update. But I really was hoping to be finished. It's so close as you can see. Just need a few more stitches and then the back stitching which does take awhile but is oh so worth it. So hopefully soon I'll be back with a celebration post.

What a blur this past week (and some I guess) has been. We got the inside decorating mostly done. Then we've been shopping like crazy. The weather has still been nice so we've really been trying hard to get it all done before the weather turns worse. Saturday Mom and Jeremiah went to a Christmas party so Fred and me went out shopping together. He really wanted to get a new cell phone. Our phones were our first smart phones and they were the very basic model. So after much pleading from him we stopped. I really dislike change haha. So I was really having a hard time being told how great our new phones would be. But now I'm glad we switched. We ended up with the Samsung Galaxy J7V. Not the fancy expensive ones but still a lot better than our Samsung Galaxy Core Prime's. They were baby smart phones and now we have teenager ones haha. After a few days of messing with it and getting it setup just right I'm really happy with it. Hubby was happy from the first second haha. He does a lot better with change than me. Fred has 4 vacation days to use up before the end of the year so he took off Monday and Tuesday this week (yes one of the reasons my Monday update is here...Wednesday haha). We all went out shopping Monday. It was really nice. I don't even know the last time we did that all together. We went to a local park that had this drive through Christmas light display on the way home in the evening. It was a long long day but so much fun. Yesterday Mom and me went back out and got a ton more done. The boys got to stay home and relax. It's been really nice feeling like we are getting so much done but I notice even when I'm home my brain is just off. I just stare blankly at the TV and try to recover.

But we are getting it done. The Christmas excitement is definitely here. Jeremiah and me keep begging Christmas to come faster. I'm sure it will be here before I'm ready though. The rest of the month will more than likely blur by me just like the first part so far has. I'll just do my best...all I can do right? Hope everyone reading this is doing well too.

Hi Katie! What a cute jar you stitched. I saw your name on Rhona's blog and I just found you have a stitching blog too. I will sign up and start to follow. I invite you to come see my friend Mary and my blog called Stitching Friends Forever. We would love if you stop by. RJ

Go Katie, you can do it and the jars will be ready for Christmas! It is nice Fred has a few days off so you guys can finish up your Christmas stuff and you don't have to try to cram everything in on the weekend.

Nice progress on the jar.
You all must be a bit exhausted after all that shopping and preparing. But it's worth it as it's always a lot of fun, too.

It looked finished to me until you mentioned the backstitch!

I love your jars! I did see them at our LNS, but knew I wouldn't have time to stitch them... maybe next year.
I'm glad you got to spend quality time with Fred, it's always a treat when you can do it.

I am with you! Where has the time gone! I am terribly behind in blogging and reading blogs, but I think that is the norm at this time of the year! So much to do! I love the jar and look forward to seeing it completed...whenever! Hugs!
