Stitching Update/Weekend Update

I am happy to say I've finally found some stitching time to chat about. About time right? Haha. After finishing up the July Durene Jones piece last week I pulled out Ocean in a Bottle which I hadn't worked on since May. Here is where I was on it last time...
I put 2 more days of work into it. Here is what it looks like now...
Then it was time to head down to the cabin for a long weekend. Saturday I was able to get a lot of stitching time though while relaxing and watching movies with my hubby and son. I worked on You are Loved which I hadn't worked on since April. Here is where I was with it before...
Here it is after my lovely day of stitching at the cabin Saturday...
We had a very nice relaxing weekend at the cabin. We do have a few things that need finishing touches but my uncle was busy so we ended up having a lazy relaxing weekend instead. Monday we had a gathering at the campground for my Grandma's family reunion since my Grandma's sister past away earlier this year we ended up also having a memorial for her. We had a lovely time and it was a great way to remember how great of a person Glendra was. We miss her. The weather was very hot with the threat of storms the whole day. Luckily they waited till dark and after everyone was ready to leave anyway. Mom had come down Sunday morning and spent the night with Jeremiah and me since Fred had a radio event to attend during the day and so she could attend the gathering Monday as well. Since it started to get dark and the storms were forming we decided to have another night at the cabin together. The wind/heavy rain/hail couldn't ruin our good time in our cool safe home away from home. We came back home this morning. Now only 3 sleepies till I can head back down there haha.

I hope everyone reading this has a great weekend. Here's hoping we all find some stitching time.

I love all the shades of blue in Ocean in a Bottle.

I swear your weekends away seem to get longer and longer :) Glad you've had a great time. You've even managed to do great progress on your stitching.

Sounds like you are making great use of the cabin, Katie! It must be so nice to have your little "home away from home" to go to each weekend :) Pretty stitching--love the colors in that first piece!

Lovely to see some progress on these beautiful pieces. And Yay for borders that meet up!

Very excited to see these two pieces come out again, knowing that you actually had some stitching time. Has it really been that long since you last stitched on them?! And yay for the cabin keeping you warm and dry! :)

All those lovely blues in Ocean! Just perfect for summer stitching.

Isn't it nice when the weather sort of cooperates once in a while? I know it must've been sticky hot before for the storms though.

Great progress on both your pieces. Your family gathering sounds fun, and a great way to remember your great-aunt x

Wasn't it exciting to spend the weekend at the cabin just relaxing and having a good time? You have worked through so many weekends to make the cabin a second home that it must have been a good feeling just to enjoy that second home.
Great to see the Bottle again. You made considerable progress on it.
