Monday Update and January WIPocalypse

Grab a cup of your favorite drink I have a long post haha.

First up. Last week recap. Monday no stitching. Big stepping day with my Fitness groups. Tuesday I worked on Blackwork SAL and finished Part 4. Also picked up Erica Michaels 4 Seasons Winter piece Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Back in love with silk gauze stitching!! Friday and Saturday no stitching. Friday busy stepping day again. Saturday we did some errands and then watched a WWE PPV in the evening. Sunday I worked on Rainbow Dragon again because my eyes needed a break haha.

Where are the pictures you say? Well it's also time (yesterday) for a WIPocalypse update. So WIPocalypse is a fun push to finish all our WIPs before the End of the World. I like to use it as an excuse to keep track of my overall monthly progress. Also how many days I've been working on what. So let's look back and see what January has been like stitching wise...

Season 2 -- Hands on Design -- 6 Days

Started and finished the January part of the Year of Celebrations Season 2.

Blackwork SAL -- Tangled Threads and Things -- 4 Days

Started this awesome Blackwork SAL available here. Another part was released today but that will be tonight after this post.

Valentine SAL -- Cherry Hill Stitchery -- 4 Days

This one is a freebie on her Facebook group. I started it and made this much progress.

Hedgehogs in the Snow -- Stoney Creek -- 2 Days

Beer Dragon -- Paine Free Crafts -- 3 Days

Before...

He got to come out for IHSW so a lot of progress was made on him.

4 Seasons Winter -- Erica Michaels -- 3 Days

The motifs are all finished just the background to fill in. My eyes have to be in the mood for this one though. 40ct silk gauze is tiny!!

None -- 3 Days. Not bad at all!

So glad to be back and in love with my stitching again. I sure hope it stays that way all year. We also got a beautiful snowstorm. We got 5.8 inches...

Spike LOVES the snow. It's hard to convince him it's too cold for mommy to stand outside. He runs and plays in it so fast. We were snug though.

Have a great week. Love yourself. Smile.

Jan 23rd Monday Update

Here we are for another week recap post.

Monday I couldn't wait to get to the next part of the Blackwork SAL...

I hate saying every time how much in love with my pieces I am. But I really am. I just enjoy every minute lately.

Tuesday and Wednesday it was time to get my Winter Gnome back out...

I had to put it on a background so Instagram would stop zooming it too big haha. I have 9 days into my little Winter Gnome now.

Thursday I got a little bit more on the Valentine SAL...

I am trying to work on it at least 1 day a week because she has a drawing every Friday for people who post progress.

The weekend was IHSW. Beer Dragon demanded progress. Fred had to run up to Ft Wayne Saturday to do some obligations but luckily I could stay home. So after getting my exercising done Friday and Saturday I got busy stitching. Sunday I took the day off. Put my Fitbit in time out and was LAZY. It was nice! So I made a lot of progress...

Love it!!! According to my notes I have 58 days into Beer Dragon now. If only every weekend could be IHSW haha. Life needs to be lived.....sometimes haha.

I haven't shared a photo of Spike in awhile. He still is just amazing. He loves our country cabin life as much as we do...

He loves to lay in weird places. Like I happened to catch this photo of. No he's not stuck. He was just happy to be laying with me while I was stitching. Not a very smart spot to lay haha. He is my walking partner. He loves to takes long walks through the woods here and around the pond. We see deer, rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, and he wants to chase them all haha.

Sunday we got a beautiful few inches of snow and it's gorgeous outside but Wednesday we are supposed to be 5 to 9 inches. Jeremiah can't wait of course. He loves looking at the fresh snow. I just hope Fred can make it work and back. We are going out tonight to get groceries if they aren't bought out haha.

Love yourself. Have a great week. Smile!

Jan 16th Monday Update

Hi Readers. Hope this past week has been good to everyone. January sure seems like it has long weeks. But that's okay I seem to be getting a lot of stitching time which is SO nice. So let's see what I was up to last week.

Monday I stitched up the 2nd Week of The Blackwork SAL...

This is a free SAL available on their website. New part is released every Monday for 27 Weeks. This week's part is beautiful. I really look forward to seeing each one. Plus they are fast really.

Tuesday I worked on the free Valentine SAL from Cherry Hill Stitchery...

I'm trying to put a day a week into it at least. It's a fun piece as well.

Wednesday and Thursday I worked on Hedgehogs in the Snow from Stoney Creek...

The bottom part is done and finally have a start on one of the hedgehogs. Cute!!!

Friday and the weekend both days I worked on Rainbow Dragon again. I am happy with my progress too...

She is so beautiful. All those colors!!! I finished the page I was working on. (Tip of the top of her mouth.) Did a little bit on the page to finish the first horn. Then started on the next major page of stitching to the left. Reminder of what she will look like...

I have 18 days into her now.

Saturday we went out for a little bit. Ended up getting hair cuts, hanging out with some friends and a family member at our favorite cigar bar. Met a couple that knew my mom's parents so that was very fun. Love being from a small town. Everyone knows everyone. Ate a nice Mexican meal out and got back home. We were looking through shows to watch and found Vikings on Hulu. It aired on History channel for 6 seasons. We started it and fell in love with it. We made it through Season 1 Saturday. Just couldn't shut it off to go to sleep haha. Sunday I was so excited about Is it time to start it again? Haha. Plus it means stitching time haha. Until a really fun fight scene at least haha. There is a sequel now on Netflix too so we have lots and lots to watch. Do you enjoy binge watching shows? I sure do. Something we can do together. Then I laughed and said Boy good thing we have a good internet here now haha. Can you imagine? I think our happy place just might not have worked haha.

Well have a great week. No plans this week other than working on my exercising. So when I get that done each day it's more stitching time. Love yourself. Smile. Enjoy!

Jan 9th Monday Update

Hi Readers. Another Monday. Another stitching update. I can tell you one thing. I am IN LOVE with my stitching again. I just LOVE it. I have been getting my exercising in too but I honestly have been having fun getting it done quicker so I can get to my stitching. Love it. Right now life balance is working well. So let's see what I worked on last week...

Monday and Tuesday I worked on Season 2 of the January Hands on Design piece.

Wednesday I started the Week 1 part of The Blackwork SAL...

This is Week 1 of 27. 28ct DaVinci Evenweave using DMC 550. Love it!!! After that which went so quickly I worked on Season 2 again.

Thursday I started the Cherry Hill Valentine SAL...

Friday and Saturday back to the Season 2 piece. Saturday I finished it...

(1) January 9th
January - A Year of Celebrations Season 2
from Hands on Design
Stitched on 32ct Dark Cobblestone Lugana
Using Suggested Classic Colorworks Threads
Started Jan 1st. Took 6 Days.

It was a blast to stitch and now I look forward to all the rest of them.

Sunday I went back to the Valentine SAL...

I love it on the black. In person you can see the light purple of the letters better of course. It definitely makes the colors pop off the fabric.

I got some happy mail today which was very happy because I found out Friday it was lost. The post office put the wrong address on the delivery even though the store put the correct one. Anyway my lovely cousin is our mail lady now. So I messaged her and she found it for me...

I seen one of these on Instagram and knew I needed the set. I looked on 123 and summer was not in stock. So I called my not so LNS and they had all 4. Meant to be. So she cut some fabric for each one and now I can kit up the threads. Wohoo more projects haha. Like I needed them right? Oh shush.

Saturday I found out a very dear friend of mine passed away suddenly in her sleep. She was 35. Getting married in 4 months. They are doing an autopsy to find out why. She was in charge of one of the fitness Facebook groups I found. We have been friends for 2 years. I talked to her every day. She was so sweet and motivating. She inspired me to go each day. The rest of the group of us are just shocked and I have cried so much. Just keep waiting for a message from her. We never got to meet in person. We talked about it. Life just didn't let it happen. Now it never will.

I am so sick of bad news. I am sick of death. I am sick of crying. I am worried what life has ahead. But... I am going to be okay. I have fought so hard to be the positive person I am. I just have to pick myself up....again. My husband and son and so many others care about me. I know that. I feel that. So today I hit 10k steps in Stacey's honor. She would be proud. She would have said You got it girl.

I will work my butt hard to get it healthier. Then I will sit in my comfortable chair and stitch. It soothes my soul. Just please.....hug someone. Hug yourself. Be happy somehow. We need it. In the crazy world we live in. I will be here.....in love with my stitching again.

Yep Back Already

My arm was twisted into joining two SALs so I just had to stop by and twist other arms too.

Look at this beautiful pattern...

If you join the Facebook group you can download the pattern. You get entered into drawings for Cherry Hill patterns every Friday when you post progress and if you FFO before Feb 13th you get 3 patterns. How fun. She has others patterns that are just adorable too. I have decided to stitch mine on black...

The pretty purple is going to be my letters. Pink instead of white. Green and Red that fit bright enough. I've always wanted to stitch a piece on black so I figured this is a good time to do it.

Then Tangled Threads and Things is doing a blackwork SAL...

So I decided to join in with that too...

Now I need to get busy stitching!!! I am just so happy to be in love with my stitching time again. Now to work in working out too haha.
