Today is the 10th so that means it's Turtle Trot Time. (I found this awesome sea turtle made out of bottle caps on Bing Image Search.) I also missed a check in for WIPocalypse and HAP SAL so I'm including those here too. Let's see what I've been up since the last check in on June 2nd...
HAED Hope - 5 Days
Christmas Pals Ornaments - 3 Days (Finished and Started # 3)
HAED Selkie - 7 Days
Spring WordPlay - 6 Days (Finished!)
Advent Animal SAL - 3 Days (Started and Finished Day 9)
Wave Dancer - 3 Days (New Start)
None - 10 Days (Not bad!)
Now let's go through my Turtle Trot list.
1. 99 - No progress this time.
2. Advent Animals SAL - You can go to this post to see the first 8 I stitched last year along with the new one I just finished # 9.
3. Christmas Pals Ornament - You can go to this post to see the latest finish. Now I only have 3 left to complete.
4. Cut Thru Ship - No progress this time either.
5. Hold on to Hope HAED
She is really moving along.
6. Mill Hill Kits (Do one a month) - I missed getting one done in June so hopefully I'll be able to finish 2 this month.
7. Seasonal Wordplays - I finished Spring!! Just need to do the other 3 seasons.
8. Selkie HAED - Here she was at the beginning of May...
Here she is now...
Actually yesterday I finally got to some new colors. I reached the rocks!!! But I don't want to take her out of the Q-Snaps yet so you'll have to wait to see that update. I literally said Wohoo out loud though haha.
9. Snow Drifters Leaflet - No progress this time.
10. Wave Dancer - I started this one and here is where I got...
For the WIPocalypse we get questions to answer too.
What type of things do you like to stitch Reality or Fantasy. Which do you prefer to stitch? Figures or Abstract?
If you have been here long you know I love Fantasy. I also love animals. I seem to stitch them more than anything. Thanks for hanging in there for my thrown together SAL post. Now off to stitch more for the next update.
My little piece of the net. I love cross stitching and family. Hopefully you enjoy a look into my life.

It's the first of the month which means it's time for a HAP (Huge @$$ Project) update. You post a picture of your HAP at the beginning of each month so you can watch your progress. Here is where I was last month...
Here she is now...
I was able to get 4 days of work on her in May. I have 25 days total in to this project now. This is 11,060 stitches. Yep more blue haha. I still just LOVE working on her.

HAP SAL
It's a new month. Today is HAP SAL check in. We show our progress on our Huge @$$ Project at the beginning of every month. This is the largest HAED I've ever done called Selkie. Her picture is on the right hand bar if you would like to see what she will look like. I can't wait to get to something other than blue haha. But she is really fun and relaxing to work on.
Here is where I was beginning of April...
Here she is now...
This is 21 days of work on her. 9,560 stitches total so far. Instead of going to the official page 2 I went down to page 7 instead. From the looks of it another blue page.

2nd HAP Post
Today is the 1st so it's HAP SAL Day. I'm working on HAED Selkie for this SAL. Her picture is on the right hand side of my blog. Let's see where I was on the 1st of Jan 2,360 stitches in...
Here is where I am now 5,498 stitches in...
Doing her on 32ct 1 thread over 1 complete X. My lovely blue blob haha. I looked last night and I'm going to go down instead of over for the next page. I was hoping to make it to some other color than blue. Guess what.....More blues haha. Oh well. She is still so much fun to work on. I will enjoy the blue ride for now.
I also have something to share. A lovely friend of mine Justine sent me a RAK of a HAED that was on my wish list. Here is the pic...
It's called Dragon Skies. How gorgeous is she! Thank you so very much Justine. I'm always so happy to meet people in blog land and get to be friends. Supporting our addition oh I mean hobby is so much fun.

HAP and Day 1 of CJC
I can't believe it's 2015. We had a nice night just doing nothing. We watched movies and switched to watch the last half hour of Ryan Seacrest's show. Since it was a night to celebrate I figured I should work on 99. I got two more bottles stitched and some more of the shelf under them.
Today is the First of January which means two things.
Today is the first HAP SAL check in. I started a new HAED because none of mine fit the category for the SAL....well also cause I wanted to really bad haha. I started her on December 21st. I got to work on her for 7 days so far. Here is the progress picture...
I have 2,360 stitches in. She is my beautiful blue blob haha. Her name is Selkie. Her picture is on the right hand side.
Today was the first day of the Crazy January Challenge. I'm starting a new piece everyday for the first 15 days. I put the names of my picks into a container and let Jeremiah pick which one I will work on. He picked Christmas Pals Ornaments. Here is what it will look like...
Then I told him pick 1 through 6 and he picked 5 so I started the middle snowman on the bottom. Here is my progress after today...
Today we watched the Rose Bowl parade. That's my favorite parade to watch by far. I love the decorations on the floats. They sure spend a lot of time and it's just breathtaking. Fred enjoys watching the bands since he was in band growing up. After that we watched old TV shows we have stored on our DVR. Poor thing has over 100 shows haha. We got caught up on Resurrection finally. I really like that show. Tomorrow is Day # 2. See ya then.

New SAL
I love participating in SALs. It's a fun reason to blog about a hobby I enjoy and I love the feeling of stitching along with others that are as crazy um I mean people like me haha. I happened upon a new blog to me and she was talking about a SAL for next year. Here is the post about the HAP (Huge A$$ Project) SAL. I always feel like my projects are HAPs but when I got to looking most of them don't qualify for the over 300 minimum stitch count rule. But guess what....I'm being haunted by a design that qualifies...
Her name is Selkie and she has decided to invade my brain. I just LOVE seals and this design is so beautiful. She just looks at me saying Katie you need to stitch me! She is 450 W by 646 H so would be my largest HAED in progress. I have 3 story keeps I would like to start too. Also the two I have in my WIP pile! I'm insane. So we will see. Just seems so perfect that she could be a Christmas present under my Christmas tree.
