Jan 1st Monday Update

Happy New Year Readers. Wonder what the new year will bring. It's sure my most planned stitching year. I have 3 new planners to keep track of all my fun goals and challenges. I'm in 3 Facebook groups now for stitching challenges and I love them!!! It's been a lot of fun setting it all up. But first Monday's I like to do a Monday Update. This is a look back at what I stitched in the last week.

I decided to push to see if I could finish the WIP Wrangler Challenge. (Sneak Peek....I did!!)

Monday I enjoyed Christmas and didn't get any X's in.

Tuesday I worked on Christmas Celebrations from Frosted Pumpkin. It sure got a lot of progress this month...

Start of the month

Now after 2,391 stitches this month

Wednesday 2 projects.

Book Dragon for Roll 29. Needed 250...

Best Friend Santa Mill Hill needed 150...

Thursday 4 projects.

Christmas Truck needed 75...

Book Dragon was rolled again. Needed 50...

Simple Treasures was finally rolled. Needed 250...

Owl Gnome was rolled for 150. I did 185 and finished all the white thread on the key. Picture in a moment.

Friday we went to visit Bev and hang out with my dad. Plus a stop for groceries. So it was a long day and no stitching.

Saturday 2 projects.

Hedgehogs in the Snow by Stoney Creek needed 200. I finished up the first hedgehog...

Owl Gnome needed 75 more. But I did 229 and finished the 2nd thread on the key...

White and Off white is complete now.

Sunday my last 2 rolls.

Simple Treasures needed 100...

I changed where I was working on it for some variety. It was a nice change of area.

Last roll was Grow Together an old HAED WIP. I needed 250. I did 356 to finish the columns I was working on. The first 2 columns on the first page...

So that completed WIP Wranglers...

So I successfully completed both large challenges I signed up for in December.

I will be back tomorrow for my recap for 2023. I'm off to enjoy the first day of 2024 and a new start.

Dec 18th Monday Update

I got a lot of stitching done with my challenges so get ready for a lot of photos haha.

Monday 2 projects. I worked on Roll #4 Beer Dragon needed 100 and Prompt 11 was Presents. Since Beer Dragon is a present I could use it. Added 117 stitches...

After that was Roll #5 Christmas Celebration needed 250 and Prompt 8 Lights needed 100...

Tuesday 3 projects. Finished up Roll #5 Christmas Celebrations and for Prompt 9 Decorations (all the decorations in this whole piece), 10 Carols (first block is singing carols), 12 Candy Cane (girl in I block is holding candy cane), and 13 Reindeer (the R block has a little deer). Added 448 total stitches...

Roll #6 was a new start I was really excited to start. Colorful Eagle from Kitty & Me. Jeremiah and Fred got me for my last Christmas...

I added 100 stitches...

I really enjoyed this one and was sad to put it down. So expect to see it again soon. I was surprised when kitting this one up that each section is outlined in Kreinik braid which just looks beautiful in person. So it will definitely be a fun stitch.

Roll #7 was my 2nd time having New York Dreamer Season picked which is the maximum we have to pick the same WIP so I need 125 stitches for it...

Wednesday 2 projects. Roll #9 and 11 were the same Forever in Peace so I combined them after finding out our rolls didn't have to go in order haha. Needed 275 total...

Then Roll #10 and 12 were Rainbow Dragon so I combined them. Needed 225...

Thursday 2 projects. Roll #13 and 17 were Rules for Life an OLD WIP...

Here it was in 2020...

Added 300...

Roll #14 was Dragon Eye. Needed 200...

Friday 4 projects. First up Roll #8 another new start. Christmas Truck by Veraco kits. I bought this one on vacation in OBX this year. Needed 200...

Roll #15 Autumn Blessing a 2019 WIP needed 200...

Last up was another New Start for Roll #18 and Prompt 16 Hot Cocoa so took penalty of 300 Hanging w/Santa...

Sunday 3 projects. First up finished the 300 stitches after taking the day off stitching Saturday.

Prompt 17 Sleigh (in the last S block) and 18 Snowman (snowman in middle S block) back to Christmas Celebration for 234 more stitches to finish the I block...

I just fell in love with this one this time. Plus get ready for this it's on a linen which I didn't hate near as much this time around. What?!?

Last up for the week was Best Friend Santa a Mill Hill for Roll #19. Needed 150...

Here is my updated challenge list for the Semi Sane event WIP Wranglers...

I have 5 marked off completely. 9 have been stitched once at least. So only 6 not done yet. I just might finish this haha. We'll see. I know I've really enjoyed the push to work on so many things but it does get old a little. I have some I want to work on LONGER. But these challenges make me remember OLD WIPs again. So they are worth it. Can't wait to see the challenges next year.

Saturday I kicked Jeremiah, Fred, and Spike out. They had a blast at a local park taking a walk while I wrapped our Christmas presents. Then we had a fun Christmas party to attend in the evening. It was a nice break day from stitching.

This week is BUSY BUSY. Something planned every evening other than today trying to get ready for the big Christmas day. I am getting really excited though. I normally do after I stress myself almost to death haha. I can't wait to make Christmas special and we are sure doing just that. A lot to look forward to. Last night we watched our Christmas movies. Krampas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We sure love the meanings behind both. Appreciate who you have in your life and not the amount of gifts under the tree. We are so thankful and we haven't even got there yet haha.

Love yourself. Smile. Enjoy your holidays. Allow yourself to breath and not stress too much. Somehow it will come together. We got this!

Monday Update

Okay a lot of stitching to show you. So let's get to it...

I've been really really enjoying my Mill Hill Maynia for May. Let's see what last week brought me with the challenge...

Monday Summer Breeze was picked...
I hadn't worked on this one since the January Challenge in 2015. I only had one day of progress on it...
I added 1 hour 7 minutes to it...
Tuesday was Inner Tube another Mill Hill kit I hadn't worked on for a long time. This one was worked on in 2016 last time...
There it was from then. Here it is now that I added 1 hour and 3 minutes...
Wednesday's pick was Evergreen Snowman...
The before is above. Here it is now that I added only 34 minutes...
I only got 34 minutes in because the May Fairy was screaming to be started. I worked on her Wednesday and Thursday after my Mill Hill Maynia picks. Here she is after Day 2 of being worked on...

You can really see her coming together from just those two days.

Thursday I also worked on Pizza Slice for just 32 minutes...
I finished the stitching on Day 2. Just beads left now.

Friday morning Mom, Jeremiah, me and Izzy (our dog) loaded up and went to the cabin for our Mother's Day getaway. It was supposed to be cold all weekend but we were warm and happy in our happy place. Friday we watched TV together and relaxed. I worked on Best Friend Santa...
I got 39 minutes added to this one...
Saturday we were busy all day. It was a lovely day though. Fred and Dad got some more siding adding to our big red barn. I will have pictures to show of that later. Fred has them on his phone. I need to steal them haha. I also finally got a picture of a new to me bird on my feeder...
I'm going to be 41 Wednesday and I've never seen this bird before. So I had to look him up. He's an Indigo Bunting and let me tell you the picture doesn't do him justice. That blue is just gorgeous in person. I had a lot of fun taking photos of him. I posted several more to my Facebook if you are interested. I've always loved feeding birds. Also for those who wanted the update Momma Robin was still sitting on her eggs. We checked and they haven't hatched yet. Which I'm glad because it's been really chilly. So maybe later this week they'll hatch.

No stitching Saturday so I caught up Sunday when we finally got home.

Pizza Slice was picked for Saturday and Snowman with a Cardinal was picked for Sunday. I put 30 quick minutes into the Snowman with Cardinal...
Remember I had started it for Day 1 of the Mill Hill Maynia. So a little more on the arm and the start of the little cardinal. Then I worked on Pizza Slice for 1 hour 9 minutes. I got some beads added but it's not finished....so close though...
See I told you lots of stitching to share. Even with the one missed day I still made up with progress.

Today's pick is Seaside Sampler, Tuesday is Summer Breeze again, Wednesday is Camping Out.

We are going down to our cabin again Thursday morning. My birthday is Wednesday and I picked to stay home that day and have a TV stitching like a maniac day before heading down for a long weekend. Going to be warmer later this week but forecast to have rain. Which the pond needs so we'll be happy if that happens. More movie watching time anyway haha.

Have a great week everyone! Happy Belated Mother's Day. We sure had a nice time relaxing together and loving one another.
