This is where I spent my weekend. Sitting in my spot at the stitching tables working away.
Thursday I met up with two wonderful ladies to ride down to retreat with. One of them I've been friends with now for probably 15 years. We had fun visiting and we stopped in Bloomington, Indiana at a stitching store called Fancy Works. I was looking around but nothing screamed buy me. Mostly because of how many projects I knew I had at home. I thought we were about to leave when my friend spotted a piece she knew I just had to have...

The pattern is from Dinky Dyes and it's called Wave Dancer. The store owner had stitched a store model up and it was too beautiful to pass up. With my love of Dolphins and ocean I agreed it was a must have. We then stopped for lunch and chatted until time to arrive at the retreat location. I've always meant to get a picture of the outside of the building but I get so into stitching I forget to take pictures haha. Unfortunately the flu finally found me and crept into my head to cause problems. But I wasn't going to let it spoil my time. I got a box of Kleenex and lots of meds and I was able to get through. Several of the other ladies were sniffling too. Just that lovely time of the year here in Indiana. We spotted some snowflakes while we were stitching away. We just stayed inside warm and happily stitched away.
So Thursday I started and finished my Mill Hill pick for the month. After that I picked up
Think Big by Peter Underhill. Friday I worked on HAED Selkie and got in over 1,000 stitches!! Love those LONG stitching days. I was able to finish the first page!! I will wait and share a picture of her on the 1st since we are so close. Saturday I picked back up Think Big and am really happy with my progress on it. Here are the pictures of my Mill Hill finish and Think Big...
Today was the day to return to reality. What a great time. There were 15 of us ladies. We laughed. We cried. We solved all the world's problems. We sneezed and sniffed the weekend away. We got a lot of stitching done! It was a wonderful time indeed. Now tomorrow we leave for our vacation. I'll be posting updates if you would like to travel along with me.
