Started this one July 26th, 2016. Took 4 Days.

 

After that I picked up a DUCJC piece Tour Postcard from Summer House Stitche Workes. It was my #12 start in January. Here it is all finished up...

I finished it on Saturday. Sunday I picked up my last postcard start Beach Postcard from Summer House Stitche Workes. It was my #9 start.

I can't wait to finish these post card designs onto the burlap frames and decorate them. Hopefully I'll find time to do that soon. This week I'm going to work on the Family Crest. Hope everyone has a great week. Welcome to August!!

DUCJC Day 17

Today was another of the Summer House Stitche Workes Postcards series...

This one is called Hero Postcard. We loved the anchor design on the right one. Guess what...

I got it finished today. I used a Threadworx thread. I will wait and finish up the other two and then have fun decorating them on the burlap frames.

Tomorrow I'm starting a new Ursula Michael piece. Wonder which one it will be?? It's supposed to be below zero wind chill here most the day tomorrow. So we are planning on covering up and trying to stay warm. Right now it's already 7 degrees but feels like -9.

DUCJC Day 12

Today is another Summer House Stitche Workes Postcard design. I started another one on Day 9. Here is what this one will look like...

This one is called Tour Postcard. I thought it would be fun to decorate since we love traveling so much. Here is where I got today...

I'm using a small random piece of evenweave I had in my stash. The thread is a limited edition Sampler Thread from Gentle Art (GAST) I'm sure I received in an exchange. I thought it looked right for the word road trip. What do you think? Tomorrow is going to be a patriotic piece.

DUCJC Day 9

Another PALs Christmas present today. Summer House Stitche Workes setup a booth at the retreat. I love her pieces. Mom picked out a few of the postcard series for me to do. Here is the first one in my pile...

Shouldn't be surprised Mom picked the beach one out right? I just LOVE how she finishes these on the burlap frames. Then you can attach whatever you want to it. I got several of the burlap frames and some trinkets to decorate them for Christmas too. I didn't get a lot of stitching time today so here is my progress...

I wish my fabric showed up better. It's a beautiful piece full of different colors. Looks like a sunrise to me. I just happened to have it in my stash. The thread is DMC 4025. I wish I would have had more time today. I look forward to finishing it off and playing with the trinkets to decorate it. Tomorrow is another PALs present.
