The mail came yesterday and a large envelop from overseas arrived. I wasn't expecting anything. I opened the package and got a wonderful surprise...
The card included reads:
Hello Katie
You are my RAK recipient for March. I hope you like this little bunny. She comes complete with suitcase ready to accompany you on your travels!!
Love Julie from Julie's Stitchyknitter Journal
I literally screamed in happiness. I can't believe this little cutie has came to brighten up my home. Julie you have no idea how much this has meant to me. She is adorable. I just LOVE the suitcase too. What a cute added thought since we travel so much. Plus it's Disney which is another thing we love so much and it's Elsa who loves snow just like me. Perfect in so many ways. I love her dearly Julie. Thank you so very very much for thinking of me and letting me have one of your beautiful rabbits you make with your amazing talent.
Then 2nd thing is I have a confession to make but it's all Tiff's fault from Tiffstitches Blog. On the 15th she did her Gifted Gorgeousness update and posted her beautiful projects she has been working on. I clicked on one of them to see what it was going to look like yesterday when I was catching up on blog reading. (I'm pretty sure Tiff knew what she was doing and planted this link just to tempt me!) It lead me to this Etsy store called Cute Patterns by Maria. I saw the pattern she was stitching which was really cute but on the side I see more patterns from this same designer. (Again I'm sure Tiff knew she had planted this on purpose so I would follow it and be forced to see the other patterns Maria had that just HAD to be owned by me immediately!) I said to myself no Katie you're not allowed to have more projects. I of course saved the photo and sit it aside. Later last night I showed my husband in disgust what Tiff had planted to tempt my mind and heart. He said "Oh wow I love that." No! He had evidently been told by Tiff to join in the temptation. So I again said "Yeah like I need more projects." Fred smiled knowing me and knowing it wouldn't be long. This morning I showed my mom again with disgust and said "One bad thing about having stitching friends that you read their blogs!!" The response...."Have you finished it yet?" Then she started pointing to where we could hang it when it's framed. So needless to say...
These patterns are now mine. I have a feeling I will be starting the bottle piece soon. The whale in the lightbulb was too cute to pass up too though. *sigh* I didn't need more patterns. But...These are too perfect. So as long as I blame Tiff and my entire family I can't feel guilty right??
