Oops Still Here

Wow. So I left and forgot to come back. Sorry to anyone who does stop by. Most the time it's just future me haha. Flosstube is honestly enough and then I forgot to update here too. But I love looking back on what I've done in the past so if I don't update here.....what will I look back on?? No way am I going back to what's been going on since the last post though. ALOT! haha. Stitching all the things does that to you.

So I'll just jump into the now. Sound good??

Last week 4 WIPs including 1 new start. Yes I will update my WIP Tote Tab I think that's changed a lot too.

Monday I worked on Mermaid by Lina Ova...

I added 100 because Monday is always busy...

Here is where I am now. Fabric is 32ct Tantalizing Tulips Opal from Silkweavers...

Day 5 on that beautiful piece.

Tuesday I started Pizza Pups a new Paine Free Crafts. Artwork Brigid Ashwood. Love it. Dogs....Pizza...all the details....those colors. I mean serious...

32ct Lambswool 1 over 1 full X. 75 colors with this one. Day 2. Added 900 so far.

2026 Peppermint Purple SAL is going well. Day 5. Added Weeks 7 and 8. Doing them every 2 weeks like that year...

40ct Verdal FOTM from Dying for Cross Stitch that Annette gave me. Love it even though makes the black work hard to see the details.

Then Jeremiah spun Evergreen Snowman a Jim Shore Mill Hill kit from 2017....just yesterday haha. 4th oldest WIP in my current tote.

I added 3 days and 1,302 total stitches....

Poor snowman just needs his head and his hat. Love it. So this will stay out till I finish it.

Life.....everything is going fantastic. We are going to be building a home here on the property and living with my dad. We are hoping to start the process this Summer maybe. Lots to do and lots of excitement with that planning of course. I know I love my dad and I appreciate the thought of taking care of him the rest of his life and enjoying our new home together. Wow to have space again haha. Living here in this tiny home has been amazing though. The transition we needed.

Okay I hope I'll be back next week. Thanks for sticking around if you did. Hello future me looking back. You are in love with your stitching. Keep it up girl!

Dec 26th WIP Wrangler Update

Hey it's Monday....Oops Tuesday. Really who knows what day it is? LOL Let's see what I worked on last week....everything haha.

Monday 3 projects.

WIP Wranglers Roll 20 All American was rolled again. Needed 100 this time...

Roll #21 Autumn Blessing was rolled again. Only needed 50 this time...

Roll #22 and Prompt 19 Eggnog but any cold drink worked - Beer Dragon rolled 2nd time. Needed 150...

Tuesday 3 projects again.

Roll #23 Hanging with Santa 2nd roll 100 needed...

Roll #24 Winter Line Up 2nd roll 125 needed...

Roll #25 Evergreen Snowman Mill Hill needed 100...

Wednesday 4 projects.

Prompt 20 was Poinsettia but any red flower counted so the red holly berry worked in Christmas Celebration. I did 171 on it and finished the I block...

Roll #26 Dragon Eye was rolled 2nd time. Needed 100...

Roll #27 Evergreen Snowman was rolled 2nd time needed 100...

Roll #28 Colorful Eagle was rolled 2nd time. Needed 125...

Thursday I got sick of changing projects so much haha. So I took a break. Prompt 21 for the Advent Prompts was Elf but Gnomes counted as well as optional. So I started one of the Mill Hill Jim Shore Gnomes. Added 154...

Friday Prompt 22 was Angel. Back to Christmas Celebration since there is an angel in the A block...

Fred was off work so we went to do laundry and gather last minute groceries.

Saturday and Sunday I worked on Christmas Celebration for prompt 24 because it was Nativity and I don't have anything for that so I took the penalty of 300 stitches. Added 270 Saturday. The 25th prompt was Christmas and was a freebie so no stitching required. I did get a nice lazy day Sunday so added 517 stitches...

I am so happy with the progress I made on this piece during this month. Plus it's hilarious I don't really hate linen any more. Evenweave is still my favorite by far but now linen isn't evil any more at least haha.

I only have 5 pieces left for the WIP Wrangler challenge. I think I will finish them this week. I did successfully complete the Advent challenge. You earn entries into an end of the year drawing for completing goals. There was the potential for 7 entries. I earned 6.

1 entry for every 5 prompts completed -- Received the 5 possible

1 bonus if all done by 25th -- Completed

1 entry if it's all done on the day posted by deadline -- Not completed

I'm going to do another post for Christmas fun. Since this one is big enough haha.

Monday Update

Okay a lot of stitching to show you. So let's get to it...

I've been really really enjoying my Mill Hill Maynia for May. Let's see what last week brought me with the challenge...

Monday Summer Breeze was picked...
I hadn't worked on this one since the January Challenge in 2015. I only had one day of progress on it...
I added 1 hour 7 minutes to it...
Tuesday was Inner Tube another Mill Hill kit I hadn't worked on for a long time. This one was worked on in 2016 last time...
There it was from then. Here it is now that I added 1 hour and 3 minutes...
Wednesday's pick was Evergreen Snowman...
The before is above. Here it is now that I added only 34 minutes...
I only got 34 minutes in because the May Fairy was screaming to be started. I worked on her Wednesday and Thursday after my Mill Hill Maynia picks. Here she is after Day 2 of being worked on...

You can really see her coming together from just those two days.

Thursday I also worked on Pizza Slice for just 32 minutes...
I finished the stitching on Day 2. Just beads left now.

Friday morning Mom, Jeremiah, me and Izzy (our dog) loaded up and went to the cabin for our Mother's Day getaway. It was supposed to be cold all weekend but we were warm and happy in our happy place. Friday we watched TV together and relaxed. I worked on Best Friend Santa...
I got 39 minutes added to this one...
Saturday we were busy all day. It was a lovely day though. Fred and Dad got some more siding adding to our big red barn. I will have pictures to show of that later. Fred has them on his phone. I need to steal them haha. I also finally got a picture of a new to me bird on my feeder...
I'm going to be 41 Wednesday and I've never seen this bird before. So I had to look him up. He's an Indigo Bunting and let me tell you the picture doesn't do him justice. That blue is just gorgeous in person. I had a lot of fun taking photos of him. I posted several more to my Facebook if you are interested. I've always loved feeding birds. Also for those who wanted the update Momma Robin was still sitting on her eggs. We checked and they haven't hatched yet. Which I'm glad because it's been really chilly. So maybe later this week they'll hatch.

No stitching Saturday so I caught up Sunday when we finally got home.

Pizza Slice was picked for Saturday and Snowman with a Cardinal was picked for Sunday. I put 30 quick minutes into the Snowman with Cardinal...
Remember I had started it for Day 1 of the Mill Hill Maynia. So a little more on the arm and the start of the little cardinal. Then I worked on Pizza Slice for 1 hour 9 minutes. I got some beads added but it's not finished....so close though...
See I told you lots of stitching to share. Even with the one missed day I still made up with progress.

Today's pick is Seaside Sampler, Tuesday is Summer Breeze again, Wednesday is Camping Out.

We are going down to our cabin again Thursday morning. My birthday is Wednesday and I picked to stay home that day and have a TV stitching like a maniac day before heading down for a long weekend. Going to be warmer later this week but forecast to have rain. Which the pond needs so we'll be happy if that happens. More movie watching time anyway haha.

Have a great week everyone! Happy Belated Mother's Day. We sure had a nice time relaxing together and loving one another.

#24HOCS January Marathon Day 2

This was the first time I participated in the #24 Hours of Cross Stitch 24 Hours Marathon.

To break up the photo loading time I'm going to break the posts down to each day. I had a great time and got a TON of stitching done.

My goal was to work on 12 projects for 2 hours each. Let's see what I worked on Saturday.

Saturday I got a total of 8 Hours and 52 Minutes.

Remember I had come down with a bit of a bug. Well Saturday I didn't wake up till 10am which for me is unheard of. Izzy our dog didn't wake us up either so evidently we all needed the rest. Not as good for marathon time but you know what sleep is very important so I'll take it when I get it. We had donuts for breakfast. Finished some things and was ready to get back to stitching.

11:32am Let's Go! I picked Best Friend Santa back up since I hadn't reached the two hour mark yet...
12:33pm I reached 2 hours on the timer officially so time to move on...
Next up Evergreen Snowman another Jim Shore Mill Hill kit. Another one from the Longest Day SAL in June 2017 but I had worked on it for 30 minutes for another marathon in 2019. So here it was before...
2:20pm We took a lunch break for BBQ yummy food from a local place.
3:20pm Back to work
4:00pm Stop watch hits 2 hours. Here is where I made it...
4:15pm Ready for the next one. Christmas Banner from Stoney Creek. I haven't had this one out since December 8th of 2014!!!
6:50pm I reached 2 hours on my stop watch. This is definitely a typical Stoney Creek. It had a million color changes. Plus this one uses glisson gloss which is I swear worse than Kreinik to work with. Sure pretty though. The wings really sparkle because of it. Just time consuming. So my progress was smaller...
Next piece is Rules for Life. I started this one for Jeremiah in 2012. Looks like I might have made a few stitches in 2013 but I don't see anything since then. It was before I tagged photos on my blog. Then I noticed my photo in my saved photos wasn't even updated. So who knows what I last worked on this one. Anyway here is my before photo...
This piece is called Rule for Life by Kincavel Krosses. I'm using Lime colored Jobelan evenweave and 986 which is a beautiful green DMC. Green is Jeremiah's favorite color as you can probably tell. Here is where I got after 2 Hours and 1 Minute...
I really really want to get this one back out. I can't believe how long it's been. It deserves to be finished.

10pm Started working on the last one for the day. 4 Seasons Winter by Erica Michael's and remembered that I LOVE these tiny 40ct silk gauze pieces. Here it was before...
Reached 2 Hours on the stop watch. On the right it says Brr with some little white stitches under. You can see if a little better in person. She has explained on her chart she wanted it to appear soft and dainty.

Midnight it was time for bed.

#24HOCS January Marathon

This weekend is the first #24Hours of Cross Stitch Marathon of 2020 and the first one I've been able to participate in finally. I'm going to join in but I have come down with a bit of a bug so who knows how much I'll actually get done. She started this awhile ago with a 24 hour straight marathon. Since some people just can't stitch that long in a row she has now made it Friday through Sunday. The goal to stitch as much as you can in that span. I heard on her latest floss tube she is even going to have a few giveaways this time for if you participate for any length of time.

I wanted to come up with a fun plan for the marathon. I had Jeremiah and Mom pick 6 numbers each to come up with a list of 12 WIPs from my WIP list on my Goals and SALs tab above. I'm going to go down the list they picked and work on each project for 2 hours according to my stop watch. I might not get to them all but boy I'll sure try. I didn't let them pick a number for a new start or for a WIP I've already worked on this month. What they came up with was some really great older pieces. So let's see the list. I will show before and after pictures Monday with my wrap up post.

1) #20 Elegant Squid - Ink Circles
I haven't worked on since 2016.
2) #50 On Beach Time - Hands on Design
I haven't worked on since the Longest Day Marathon 2017.
3) #72 Wave Dancer - Dinky Dyes
I haven't worked on since 2015.
4) #9 Best Friend Santa - Mill Hill Jim Shore Kit
I haven't worked on since the Longest Day Marathon 2017.
5) #22 Evergreen Snowman - Mill Hill Jim Shore Kit
I haven't worked on since the another Longest Day Weekend Marathon 2019.
 6) #12 Christmas Banner - Stoney Creek
Wow I haven't worked on since 2014.
7) #55 Rules for Life - Kincavel Krosses Freebie
Even more Wow here. Haven't worked on since 2012. Before I even tagged my photos on my blog.
8) #1 4 Seasons - Erica Michaels
I worked on this one last July.
9) #41 Let's Get Spooky - Ursula Michael
I wanted to work on for October 2019 but didn't get a chance. So last time was for the January Challenge when I started it in 2016.
10) #27 Free to Be Me - Val's Stuff
I've worked on a few weekends at the cabin. July last year was the latest time.
11) #26 Flock Together - Hands on Designs
I haven't worked on since 2017.
12) #29 Grab Life - Hands on Design
I haven't worked on since the Longest Day SAL 2017.
I love how 3 of the Hands on Design set has been randomly picked. I swear they were randomly picked too. 8 numbers were picked that had to be skipped. 3 were WIPs I have worked on this month already. 5 were going to be new starts. How fun. So wonder how many I will actually be able to hit the 2 hours on. Luckily we don't have any plans and I've changed the menu around to be no cooking for me. We are going to binge watch The Mandalorian finally on Disney Plus. Sunday we also have a big WWE Pay Per View to watch. So should have lots of stitching time as long as this bug leaves me alone.

Grab your stitching and join in. See ya Monday with how I did.
