Day 5 of CJC and WIPocalypse

Today Jeremiah picked Spring Wordplay from the Seasonal Wordplay booklet. I had to laugh cause we are under a winter weather advisory and right now it's 10 degrees with a windchill of -1. Here I was stitching Spring haha. Here is where I got today...
The fabric is white evenweave. It's hard to get a good photo of. Today hubby was back to work so I figured I should stop being lazy haha. I got some laundry done. Got some stuff put away. We went through the pantry and both refrigerators and got all the out of date stuff thrown out. The guinea pigs expected to have a clean home so I did their house cleaning too haha. It was nice to get some stuff done finally. There's always more to do isn't there? But just like stitching progress is progress.

Today is also the first WIPocalypse of the year. She gave us a topic for the check in...Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year! Sounds good. So I'm a 35 year old stay at home mother. I have a wonderful son that is 16 now named Jeremiah. He is my life. He has cerebral palsy which affects his legs. He can't walk without assistance and only for short distances. He was in public school but do to endless reasons it wasn't working so in the 3rd grade I pulled him out and started home schooling him. We are so thankful we made that decision. There is never a second I doubt it was the right thing to do. I'm also lucky enough to be happily married to my soul mate Fred. We bought a house with my mother and I'm very thankful to be so close to her. We love traveling and go as often as we can. Well if you haven't noticed by my blog I LOVE cross stitching. I've been doing it since high school but steady since after my son was born. It was something I could do while watching over his life. I did model stitching for awhile but it became too much of a job so I stopped. I have a tab that shows what's in my work basket. I'm a work on what screams loudest kind of person. I love Heaven and Earth Designs (HAED)! For my WIPocalypse check in's I like to say what I've been working on but since the beginning of the year I've been starting new projects for the Crazy January Challenge (CJC) in honor of Debbie. I'm doing 15 new starts. There is a tab above for those projects also with my progress if I've started the project. Thanks for stopping by if you are from the WIPocalypse check in link party. I hope everyone has a great year full of stitching.

Another lovely start and another chart (and series) that will have to be added to my wish list! Will you please stop stitching charts that I like so much - you're a bad influence on my New Year Resolutions!!! :)

Jeremiah's choice is bringing a ray of sunshine and much needed warmth my way too! This morning was much "warmer?" than it's been, -33!
So thank you, Jeremiah for picking Spring Wordplay today!
Everything is looking wonderful, Katie ")

A lot of progress on this one! Did it make you feel warmer? ;) We're going through a cold snap too, possibly -40 with the windchill tomorrow.

Hello, I'm a new follower~ :D You have started a daffodil pattern I haven't encountered before so many thanks to your son for picking it out to stitch haha. I think sunny colors are perfect for winter stitching. That whole booklet seems to have cute patterns, too so you have a lot of fun ahead~

The nice bright colors remind me of warmer seasons, coming... eventually! It's good to stitch on cheery projects in dreary wintertime! Hugs!
