Retreat Goodies

So the best thing about attending some retreats is all the goodies you get. Let's see what I am taking home with me...
When we signed up you could get an exchange partner for a one on one exchange. I signed up. I always get nervous about what you might get. I've spent a lot of money to get pretty much nothing in return before. This time I really lucked out. I was spoiled rotten. She put my name on a tote bag. 3 of the charts were on my wish list. She got Jeremiah a book about her local area here in Pennsylvania. Lots of other fantastic things thrown in too. Of course I forgot to take a photo of the one I made for her. She said she was really happy with everything I gave her too. So this exchange was definitely a success.
Our retreat tote with the goodies that were donated.
One of the ladies at our table gave me this cute October chart. I think it will look cute on my seasonal display shelf area. This adorable fairy monthly charts were on the fundraiser table for $1. I seen someone else stitching these and had looked them up but couldn't find them to purchase anywhere. So glad I found them. The owner of Kreinik showed up since he was in the area for something else and brought a bag of bits for each attendee.
We played a game where goodies were wrapped with saran wrap into a big ball. You put an oven mitt on one hand and had to use that hand to try to unwrap the goodies. The lady in charge made 25 balls of goodies!! It ended up being so much fun! All these goodies are things Jeremiah and me found in the ball. I might have got some other things but we all kept trading back and forth for what we each use the most. We all laughed so hard our sides hurt. Love the window cling!
The things I was forced.....forced I tell you to buy. Look at the cute beer dragon in the upper right! Hubby is in love with it and asked me when I was going to get him finished. So guess I will be starting him soon haha. I seen Santa shopping too but just like me you'll have to wait for those goodies.
I won a raffle too. Love the ocean themed box and the beautiful DMC threads.

So many pictures. Lots of goodies. Just what I needed.....more projects haha.

I still need to do a Smalls Update and a WIPocalypse update. Stay tuned for more. Plus tomorrow we are back to being tourists now that the retreat is over. More places to explore.

I've been laughing as I've been going through your vacation posts at the lack of stitching actually taking place at your so-called 'stitching retreat' but look what else you got out of it - not only soooooooo many wonderful and new goodies but all that chatting and friendship. You can stitch anytime, but you can't recreate the atmosphere and fun time you obviously had.
Those calendar fairies you bought are by Lili Of The Valley here in the UK. I have all of them but have so far only stitched the October one, which is possibly where you remember it from? :)
