We made it to Silt, Colorado. What a drive today. The scenery was gorgeous. We said a lot of Ohhs and Ahhs. There was a wind advisory for the area we were in today. But we didn't really have too many problems. We made it here about 3pm I think. This is a little tiny town. Only one local place to eat. It didn't open till 5pm and we were pretty hungry. So we headed to the town west of here we passed called Rifle. They had a delicious BBQ Rib place and boy are we glad we went back. It was delicious.
Our hotel is right on the Colorado River and with all their flooding they have been having it's really moving quickly. We have a huge balcony so we enjoyed that view. There was even a Great Blue Heron sitting on the bank. We have tomorrow's hotel booked already. Limon, Colorado. It will be a shorter day which will be nice. We've had two 5 hours days and with all the mountains they feel longer than they should be too.
