Vacation Day # 4

This morning it was a miserable wet heavy rain. It didn't stop our fun though! First we had donuts from Duck Donuts. It's basically a Subway for donuts. You pick your toppings and what not and they make them fresh in front of you. They were DELICIOUS! Then we went over to Roanoke Island. We saw Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. There was a fun geocache along the boardwalk and ended up under the lighthouse. Then we had fun shopping in all the little shops. Fred happily found another brewery...
He's making the hard decision of which one he likes best haha. Poor guy. We also went on a nice hike to grab another geocache. We also stopped to grab another one by my aquarium that is unfortunately closed for renovations. I wanted to show him where it was though. Guess since it's closed he has yet another reason to be forced to come back right? It's been so much fun geocaching together again. It's been awhile since we made a point to do it. With our smart phones now it's just so easy.
The tropical storm finally broke up and left our area. It left some gorgeous clouds. The day ended just beautiful. The forecast for the rest of the week is just as wonderful. We sure lucked out with this storm. We had a delicious BBQ meal and ended yet another fantastic day.

Glad that the storm did not really mess things up! I can surely tell you I am sick of rainy weather!! I took a walk last night and took pictures of the clouds here... they were awesome! Have a great day!

What a fun day, despite the rain. Good for you to get out in it anyway. :)

A wonderful sounding day - sometimes you just have to ignore the weather.
