Vacation Day 9

Jeremiah has always enjoyed history. He really enjoyed learning about the Civil War during our home school years. We have visited several Civil Wars forts and other battlegrounds because of his enjoyment of the subject. I've always heard Oh you should take Jeremiah to see Gettysburg. That day has come...
We heard the visitor center is the place to stop first so we did just that. Luckily we found a 2 hr historical bus tour that started an hour after we arrived. So we grabbed a quick cafe lunch and was ready to load up and listen to all the amazing information the guide had to tell us...
Jeremiah LOVED it. My brain exploded about half way through. So much information. Boy Jeremiah sure remembers it all though. He was so excited and just looking left and right to take it all in. I'm so thankful he is getting to see this. Tomorrow we are going to tour the museum and see the other things the visitor center has to offer.
Here's a picture of us sitting with Abe Lincoln on a bench.

I was only at Gettysburg once with my dad about 45 years ago so I'm sure a lot has changed in terms of the museums and interactive displays. Glad Jeremiah enjoyed it so much!

Glad Jeremiah is having a great time and learning this country's history at the same time. I noticed most young men don't have any interest in learning about the past but it is important so you know how this country was shaped and molded.
